The United States was founded as an Individualist nation. The transformation movement in the United States has promised to transform the United States from an Individualist nation to a Collectivist nation. We must ask, what is Individualism and what is Collectivism.
Individualism is not the idea that individuals should live like isolated hermits, nor the idea that they should never get help from others, nor the idea that an individual never owes anything to other people. Individualism is the idea that the fundamental unit of the human species that thinks, lives, and acts toward goals is the individual. This means that the adult individual can form his own independent judgments, act on his own thoughts, and disagree with others. He is not telepathically linked to other people as part of a “hive-mind” that does the thinking for him, nor is he inexorably governed in his thinking by economic or linguistic factors in his society. Each adult individual has the ability to consider what is in his own best interests. Each can act on his own private motivations and values, and can judge other people as good people to form relationships with, or as bad people to be avoided. Each can decide whether or not to cooperate with others to solve problems. Each can choose to think for himself about the conclusions that the majority of others in a group come to, accepting, or rejecting their conclusions as indicated by his own thought. The United States Constitution is the supreme law of the land. The United States Constitution protects individual liberties and rights and limits the control and power of the community, which is the state or government. The United States was founded on the basis of Individualism and the intent at our founding was that we would remain an Individualist nation. Collectivism is the idea that the fundamental unit of the human species that thinks, lives, and acts toward goals is not the individual, but some group. In different variants, this group may be the family, the city, the “economic class,” the society, the nation, the race, or the whole human species. The group exists as a “super-organism” separate from individuals: It makes its own decisions, acts apart from the actions of individuals, and has its own interests apart from those of the individuals that compose it. Under collectivism, individuals are analogous to worker honeybees in a beehive. The individual bees don’t have minds of their own, and generally can’t “disagree” with the hive. Any bee that acts in a way contrary to the interests of the hive is a malfunctioning bee. If it permanently leaves the hive, it will be entirely unable to support itself and will surely die in short order. If the malfunctioning bee stays in the hive, then it will either be a drain on the hive or a threat to it, and it is entirely appropriate for the other bees to attack and kill it. Karl Marx stated it this way, “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.” Obama said in support of transforming to a Collectivist state, “Part of people’s concern is just the sense that around the world the old order isn’t holding and we’re not quite yet to where we need to be in terms of a new order that’s based on a different set of principles, that’s based on a sense of common humanity.” Ludwig von Mises said it this way, “…the individual has to subordinate himself to, and conduct himself for, the benefit of society and to sacrifice his selfish private interests to the common good.” This collectivist mindset is foundational to communism, fascism, and socialism: “The common good before the individual good.” proclaimed one collectivism’s most infamous adherents. (Adolf Hitler) The doctrine of collectivism has been put into practice by many dictators such as Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot and Mao. Death, destruction and suffering on a mass scale was the end-result in each case. Anthony Fauci declared that people hesitant to receive the COVID-19 vaccine should "give up" their individual freedoms "for the greater good of society." "I think what people have to appreciate, that indeed you do have personal liberties for yourself, and you should be in control of that," Fauci began. "But you are a member of society, and as a member of society, reaping all of the benefits of being a member of society, you have a responsibility to society." “There comes a time when you do have to give up what you consider your individual right of making your own decision for the greater good of society,'" Fauci explained. Fauci stated that all must become as honeybees. Fauci stated the Collectivist belief. Fauci state the American Left’s belief. Fauci stated the American Communist’s belief. Fauci stated how the Collectivists, the American Left, the American Communists will use a virus that has proven to be no more dangerous than the flu virus, to transform the United States from an Individualist nation to a Collectivist (Communist) nation.
