The United States is a very unique country.  This can not be stressed enough.  We truly were an experiment.  Prior to our founding, nations were always based on the rule of the government.  Whatever from the government took, or whatever the head of government was called, it was government that had full and total control over the lives of the people.  Now the United States comes along and establishes our government understanding that government is always the biggest and perhaps only threat to the liberty of the people.  In order to protect against the tyranny of government, the people drafted and ratified a constitution that had as its only purpose to protect against our government becoming tyrannical.  A tyrannical government is a government that determines it is their right to tell the people how they are to live their lives and how the people are to think.  This is what the founders intended to avoid.  This is why we have a limited government; a government who was granted its powers from the people and was limited to the powers the people granted per the 10th amendment. 
 
In addition, our founders stated and recognized that the natural rights of the people are granted by our Creator and not government.  The founders emphasized this belief when the Bill of Rights were adopted.  The government was specifically prohibited from infringing on stated rights and then in the 9th amendment, we the people said that our natural rights were not just the ones we stated but extended beyond the stated natural rights and those rights not stated had the same protection as did the stated natural rights. 
 
The founders understood that a natural tendency of bureaucrats is to believe in tyranny of government.  They had lived under this tyranny and paid a monumental price to free themselves from it.  They also understood that the desire to control others was not unique to those in the British government but was a natural tendency of all collectivists.  We were warned that this could happen in the United States and how it must be corrected.  Thomas Jefferson told us, “When once a Republic is corrupted, there is no possibility of remedying any of the growing evils but by removing the corruption and restoring its lost principles; every other correction is either useless or a new evil.”
 
James Madison defined this tyranny for us when he said, “The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.”
 
And James Monroe told us,” Of the liberty of conscience in matters of religious faith, of speech and of the press; of the trial by jury of the vicinage in civil and criminal cases; of the benefit of the writ of habeas corpus; of the right to keep and bear arms.... If these rights are well defined, and secured against encroachment, it is impossible that government should ever degenerate into tyranny.”  Virtually every matter stated by Monroe that must be kept to protect against tyranny is exactly the matters the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) are attacking and telling us must be loosely defined and we must encroach on them to protect freedom. 
 
President Trump is a direct threat to the Marxist/Progressive (Democrat) movement to have unlimited government, government that tells us that by limiting our natural rights we are enhancing equality and thus it is the role of government to control and limit the natural rights given to we the people by our Creator.  Our founders established our Constitution to protect us from this very thing.  They warned us what would happen.  President Trump is a champion for limited government and natural rights.  President Trump opposes a tyrannical government as did our founders. 
 
The intent of the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) is to install a tyrannical government, a government who dictates to we the people how we are to live our lives, how we must think.  President Trump is a threat to that proposition.  The Constitution protects we the people from the intents of the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats).  Therefore, the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) have as their goal to destroy not only the United States Constitution, but also President Trump.
 
What is on full display is that the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) have as their method of operation, the same method employed by their past comrades, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Castro, and Chavez; “The ends justify the means.” 
 
The Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) have stated openly and often, “The United States Constitution be damned.”  Today they are stating openly, “Donald Trump, whose desire is to adhere to the principles of our founding and adhere to the spirit and declarations in the United States Constitution, must be destroyed at any cost and by any means.”  This my friends is not hyperbole but supported by facts.

The Senate rejected an effort by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) to place an across-the-board spending cut in a domestic funding package being debated by lawmakers.  Senators voted 24-67 on the amendment from Paul, which would reduce spending by 2 percent compared to fiscal 2019 levels.  This would be two cents for every dollar spent.  If all we did was to eliminate duplication of agencies, reduce waste, eliminate pork, and do zero based budgeting, the two cents reduction could probably be doubled.  Yes, it would take some effort, not a great deal of effort, but it would also take time from the irrational efforts to overturn the people’s will and to oppose any good ideas because they were initiated by the opposite party.
 
Marxist/Progressive Leahy of Vermont said, "His amendment will slash spending below the bipartisan budget act that we all negotiated.”  Well, Leahy, perhaps that amendment should be reviewed in the name of national security.  After all, it has long been recognized that the runaway deficit that the bipartisan budget act greatly enhances threatens our national security.

YET NOTHING IS DONE AND RAND PAUL’S EFFORTS ARE REJECTED AND ROUNDLY CRITICIZED.

The United States was founded on the concept of Liberty for all.  Today the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) and many of the Republican establishment are telling us that we have liberty when the government provides maximum safety.  What in fact they are defining is tyranny and what they are promoting is tyranny.  If you call yourself an American and support the Marxist/Progressive (Democrat) agenda, you are an enemy of the Liberty on which our nation was founded and the Liberty for which so many have sacrificed.  You must decide if you want Liberty, because the opposite is tyranny.  There is no middle ground, only a transition period as nations follow “The Road to Tyranny.”
 
I found this article at Breedshill.org.  All should read it and understand it.  Then you can decide if you are a supporter of Liberty or a supporter of Tyranny.  If you determine you are a supporter of Liberty, you can no longer support the agenda of the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) because they are proponents of Tyranny.
 
Benjamin Franklin once said, “Where Liberty dwells, there is my country.”
 
 Powerful words…and slightly unsettling ones. Would Franklin have us believe that he was not wholly devoted to the United States? Or did he mean to suggest that if America abandoned Liberty it would no longer be his country? America was founded on the ideas of Independence, Justice, and most of all, Liberty. But when the founding generation spoke of Liberty did they mean the same thing we do when we speak the word? We know that the meaning and power of words can change over time. For example, once the word “Gentleman” meant a man who was above the rank of yeoman (laborer), or a person of high birth. Today, a gentleman is anyone who exhibits good manners. How too may the word Liberty have changed with time?
 
The Founders talk about Liberty and Freedom as two separate but connected ideals. Both of these words contain the idea of possessing the ability to exercise one’s will, and a power to choose.  However, in many ways the words differ.  Liberty comes from the Latin word libertas, which means “unbounded, unrestricted or released from constraint.”  Libertas even contains the idea of being separate and independent. The English word Freedom can trace its roots to the Germanic or Norse word Frei, describing someone who belongs to a tribe and has the rights that go with belonging. This is something along the lines of “membership has its privileges.” Besides freedom the root frei becomes the English word friend. These ideas of liberty and freedom came from Western Civilization, and for the most part are absent in other cultures before their contact with the West. In other non-western cultures we find that the opposite of slave is not free but master.
 
For the Founders, Liberty was not new but, like their symbol the Liberty Tree, deeply rooted and long established among them. By 1776, some families had been in America for 170 years, and American Liberty was something they had always possessed. This is why when Thomas Jefferson writes the words of the Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness,” he refers to it as simply “An expression of the American mind.” They did not look at Independence as a quest for new Liberties but a revolt against a government bent on taking their Liberties away. Liberty is who they were.
 
It was this very potent notion of Liberty that moved patriot militias to assemble at Lexington and Concord in 1775. These people believed that they had always been in charge of themselves, and refused to be subject to the arbitrary rule of others. The quote that is most often attributed to Benjamin Franklin, “Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety” is an excellent picture of the mind of the time. Safety was not Liberty and Liberty was not safe.
 
Our concept of liberty today is pale and thin compared with that of the Founders.  Today we want to believe in liberty (small “l”), but not so much that we could get hurt. As long as we can still say what we want, worship as we please and have a vote, we say we have liberty.  We expect that the government will prevent us from making mistakes, rescue us if we do make mistakes and provide for us if we fail. The founding generation wanted no restraints and accepted that they would have no safety net if they failed. This is a concept that is foreign to both of our main political parties today, and to most Americans in general.
 
 Today, the Constitution that was put in place to restrain Government’s ability to infringe on freedom is regularly violated without much protest and sometimes with support from the public. The Government has been allowed to create new departments and administrations that effectively redefine its powers. Undoubtedly, this expansion has made us safer; but it has had a price. To justify it we have had to redefine what we mean by Liberty.
 
 The Founders saw Liberty as the opposite of tyranny; freedom from dependence on another’s will, and the ability to choose one’s own way without interference. My search for the Founder’s definition of Liberty has been one that challenged my own previous thoughts on the subject. The Founders threw down a gauntlet during the Revolutionary War that began a journey towards Liberty. These Founders’ own words reveal that they knew it could not be achieved in their lifetimes, but would be a generational destiny. They mapped out a path and left markers for us to follow. I wonder--in our age, do we have the courage to follow that path? In the end, the question will be this: If our nation is defined by the word Liberty, how will we define the word?

You are anti-American if you support the process being used by the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) in their impeachment inquiry.  Everything they are doing violates the very essence of what was deemed to be American and what was totally different from the rest of the world when our nation was founded.
 
Let us explore what I just stated.  The United States, contrary to what the schools are teaching and what the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) are preaching, is a unique nation.  We were founded on the principles of our natural rights coming from the Creator and not from government.  We were founded on the concept of “rule of law” and not “arbitrary law” which is the difference between freedom and tyranny.  It is this principle that is being changed by the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats).
 
When employing “rule of law,” fairness, total transparency, the investigation of a crime and not an individual, and the burden of proof of guilt is on the accuser and not the proof of innocence by the accused are essential.  When employing “arbitrary law,” it is just the opposite.  Tyrants pay no attention to fairness, all is done in secret, they accuse an individual and then find a crime, real or imagined, and the accused must prove their innocence.
 
The Marxist/Progressives are using the tyrannical principle in their impeachment inquiry just as they did in their hearings on Judge Bork, Judge Thomas, Judge Kavanaugh, and now on President Trump.  The concept of fairness means that we would use facts and not innuendo.  We would not lie about and distort the known statements of the accused for which Schiff is now infamous.  Everything the accuser has must be given to the accused for their defense unlike Nadler, Schiff and Mueiller did which is to conceal anything that would exonerate President Trump. 
 
A tyrant holds all proceedings in secrecy as opposed to the requirements of the United States Constitution which calls for due process and total transparency.  The accused not only must know who the accuser is, but must be able to confront the accuser in open court.  The accused is always given the opportunity to cross examine and to call their own witnesses. 
 
A tyrant will state that the individual is the problem and must be removed so a crime, any crime, even a concocted crime must be produced.  In the situation of President Trump, it was determined by the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) that if nominated he must be impeached, if elected he must be impeached.  The impeachment was declared and the hunt for a crime began.  Having found no crime, other than that he was elected by the American public per the requirements of the United States Constitution, they began their search for a crime.  Being able to find none, they have resorted to the champion of all tyrants, a concocted crime.  When the Russian hoax failed, they resorted to the Ukraine accusations.   The very crime for which they are trying to convict President Trump, we have learned that both Biden and a group of three Marxist/Progressive (Democrats) committed.  Biden admitted to the crime on video and the three Senators wrote a letter that is now public knowledge. 
 
The Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) have declared President Trump guilty without any proof of a crime, without practicing the Constitutionally protected practice of due process of law, and without even offering him the ability to present a defense.  Remember the accuser must prove guilt.  The accused is always given the assumption of innocence.  In fact, President Trump is not even being afforded the Constitutionally protected requirement of knowing who his accuser is, knowing what the accuser is saying, and being able to cross examine the accuser.
 
The Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) have assumed the role of tyrant and forsaken any resemblance of “rule of law,” which includes fairness and fact finding to arrive at truth.  The Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) have in fact stated that truth is what ever they want it to be.  This was openly stated by Biden when he said, “we never let facts get in the way of truth.”  This is anti-American.
