James Clapper has lied to Congress before. Holder and other staff of the DOJ lied to Congress. One has to ask, “when was the last time someone from the IRS told the truth to Congress.” During the Obama regime it was more common for those representing the executive branch to lie or knowingly mislead Congress including Hilary Clinton than to be honest and transparent. Never once were any of these “witnesses” called out for knowingly misleading or out right lying to Congress. The Obama regime put party and ideology above the good of the country because they are and were more loyal to the Marxist/Progressive movement than they are to the welfare of the United States.
“When initially asked about leaks related to the CIA in July 2017, former DNI Clapper flatly denied ‘discussing the dossier [compiled by Steele], or any other intelligence related to Russia hacking of the 2016 election with journalists’,” the report read. But the report stated that Clapper “subsequently acknowledged discussing the ‘dossier with CNN journalist Jake Tapper,’ and admitted that he might have spoken with other journalists about the same topic.” Clapper became a CNN national security analyst in August 2017, just one month after his "executive interview" with the committee. According to the report, Clapper’s communication with Tapper took place in early January, around the same time leaders of the intelligence community briefed then-President Barack Obama and President-elect Trump on “the Christopher Steele information.” The report noted the dossier was provided in a “two-page summary.” On Jan. 10, 2017, Tapper and other CNN journalists published an article that claimed classified documents, in the form of a two-page synopsis, were presented to Obama and Trump including allegations that Russian operatives claimed to have compromising information on the incoming president. It was an exchange made famous not because of what was said at the time, but because of what Americans discovered later. At the tail end of a rare open session of the Senate Intelligence Committee on March 12, 2013, Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., asked National Intelligence Director James Clapper whether intelligence officials collect data on Americans. Clapper responded "No, sir," and, "Not wittingly." In the following months, a series of news stories fueled by leaks from former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden revealed that wasn’t the case. Reports showed the government was collecting and storing bulk metadata of American phone records and had methods for capturing a vast amount of email and Internet data as well. In May, after Trump fired FBI Director James B. Comey, Clapper said the country’s core institutions were under assault from Trump. “I think the Founding Fathers, in their genius, created a system of three coequal branches of government and a built-in system of checks and balances,” Clapper told CNN’s Jake Tapper. “And I feel as though it’s under assault and eroding.” Recently, Clapper stated, “I really question his ability to be — his fitness to be — in this office, I also am beginning to wonder about his motivation for it — maybe he is looking for a way out.” What we know is that if a member of the executive branch of the government knowingly and wittingly lies to members of the legislative branch, it clearly reveals a lack of respect and admiration for our Constitution and that individual should have been immediately removed from his position. All Freedom Loving Americans should treat that individual with disdain and not give anything they have to say any credibility. Clapper lied to protect himself and put self above the good of the county, just as have Comey, Hillary, Holder, IRS representatives, Obama, and as do Marxist/Progressives.

Congress refuses to do its constitutional mandated duty of setting immigration law and instead have the executive and the judiciary branch handle immigration law even though they have no constitutional authority in the matter of naturalization and immigration. Congress refuses to hold open and transparent committee hearings on budget matters and other matters and instead passes omnibus bills with self-imposed and meaningless deadlines. But congress does the people’s business or, so they claim. A new bill floating through Congress may change the way musicians are paid. The House passed the Music Modernization Act with overwhelming support on Wednesday. It updates copyright and licensing laws for the first time in nearly two decades. The bill was introduced by House Judiciary Committee members Bob Goodlatte and Jerrold Nadler and simplifies royalties and mechanical payments to artists in the digital age. Supporters of the bill say it stands to benefit industry professionals by setting a statutory right to recognition for contributors like producers, sound engineers, and others. The Senate will consider the bill on Tuesday, May 15 and it is expected to pass. You can rest this week-end knowing the congress is doing the business of the people. This is the latest example of the state making medical decisions under a Marxist/Progressive style health care system in Great Britain. Alfie Evans, a 23-month-old with an undiagnosed degenerative brain condition, may have a second chance at being transferred to a hospital in Italy in an appeals court hearing scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. The Alder Hey hospital in Liverpool removed Alfie from life support Monday but he defied doctor’s predictions and survived six hours after which he was given some water and oxygen. A judge sided with the hospital Tuesday over the wishes of Alfie’s parents who are fighting to move him to Rome for more time and experimental treatment. The judge ruled that Alfie could not be taken to Italy for further treatment, but that he could potentially be allowed home. The judge dismissed claims that Alfie's was improving because he was breathing on his own. "With little, indeed no hesitation, I reject that,” he said. “The brain cannot regenerate itself and there is virtually nothing of his brain left." According to BBC, “during the hearing at Manchester Civil Justice Centre, he said the best Alfie's parents could hope for was to ‘explore’ the options of removing him from intensive care either to a ward, a hospice or his home.” When announcing that they were once again appealing the decision, Alfie’s father Tom Evans said, "I'm not giving up because Alfie is breathing away. He is not suffering, he is not struggling, he is fighting.” Sorry father, under the “Dictatorship of the Proletariat” what you want is unimportant. Yet here is what life is like for those living in the supposedly more humane system, as reported by the Telegraph: Every hospital in the country has been ordered to cancel all non-urgent surgery until at least February in an unprecedented step by NHS officials. The instructions on Tuesday night - which will see result in around 50,000 operations being axed - followed claims by senior doctors that patients were being treated in “third world” conditions, as hospital chief executives warned of the worst winter crisis for three decades. Hospitals are reporting growing chaos, with a spike in winter flu leaving frail patients facing 12-hour waits, and some units running out of corridor space. A new study reveals that an overwhelming majority of Belgians believe that Muslim refugees are taking over their nation, with more than three out of four saying the migrants have taken away their sense of home. After years of welcoming Muslim refugees with open arms, most Belgians are now fed up with Muslim immigrants taking from the welfare system, refusing to assimilate and spreading violence throughout the western European nation.
Belgian citizens reveal that the Muslim refugees are the ones demonstrating anti-social and threatening behavior, all though the globalists are using their own surveys to try to convey that Islamophobia is at the heart of unrest. “According to 74 percent of people surveyed, Islam is ‘not a tolerant religion,’ while 60 percent said the presence of so many Muslims in their nation presents a threat to its identity,” The study results revealed, “Just 12 percent said they believe the religion is ‘a source of enrichment’ for Belgium.” “Seven out of 10 Belgians think that immigrants want to impose their way of life,” further results show and correctly so. “These included 33 percent of Muslim respondents revealing they ‘don’t like Western culture,’ 29 percent asserting they believe the laws of Islam to be superior to Belgian law and 34 percent admitting they ‘would definitely prefer a political system inspired by the Quran,’” it was divulged. “With regards to the question of openness towards the other, the research found that 59 percent of Muslims in Belgium would ‘condemn’ the marriage if their son chose a non-Muslim partner, with the figure standing at 54 percent for a daughter.” One survey revealed last year spanning 10 European nations and consisting of more than 10,000 respondents was conducted by the Chatham House Royal Institute of International Affairs, and the group asked online respondents how they felt about the statement, “All further migration from mainly Muslim countries should be stopped.” Amid Europe’s ongoing refugee crisis, most of those taking survey agreed. “Over the 10 European countries surveyed, an average of 55 percent agreed with the statement,” it was reported. “Twenty-five (25) percent neither agreed nor disagreed, while only one in five respondents felt Muslim immigration should continue.” Poland was the country most in favor of a ban on Muslim immigration, with 71 percent of respondents agreeing with the statement. Austria was close behind with 65 percent. And even though more and more Europeans are waking up to the sober reality that Muslim migrants do not respect or conform to European culture, a Pew poll found that many residents’ views are still influenced by the globalist perspectives pushed by the pro-refugee leadership of the European Union and the United Nations. The other day, parents of students in public schools were asked to join a “Sex Ed Sit Out” by keeping their elementary and middle-school students out of school for one day. Organizers in the United States and Canada, as well as some Australian cities, were participating in reaction to what they consider the sexualization of children under the guise of education, through the use of sexually explicit materials in classrooms. “Why are our tax dollars going to pay for resources that teach dangerous and promiscuous behaviors which most parents find morally abhorrent and the CDC has stated are a health risk?” asked parents. “We are fed up. Enough is enough.” A former teacher explained, “We are uniting with parents across the globe to demand that our rights as parents be respected regarding the teaching of sexuality and sexual orientation. Hands off our kids!” New attention was directed at public school sex-ed programs last year, when The Red Crayon, a story about a child’s gender “transition,” was read to a kindergarten class at a public charter school in California. The kindergarten teacher then re-introduced a boy classmate to the children as a “girl,” which reportedly traumatized several children in the class. Because the instruction isn’t classified as “sex education,” parents were not advised in advance about the material and had no opportunity to opt-out. An executive director of the North Carolina Values Coalition, which is a sponsor for the Sex Ed Sit Out, was asked by parents in the Charlotte, North Carolina area to help them fight the Welcoming Schools curriculum, which was tested for adoption in their county. When parents were told they could not photograph pages of the program material, they began to suspect that a stealth campaign to forestall parental objection was in place. Welcoming Schools was promoted as a program created for elementary schools to teach “family diversity” and build “gender-inclusive, non-binary schools” free from bullying. “What about the bullying of parents and children who object to this perverse ideology?” others asked. The program, developed by the LGBT advocacy group the Human Rights Campaign, subjects students to opposite-gender role-play, and encourages them to cross-dress and to view traditional attitudes of family structure as harmful, Fitzgerald said; students with questions are referred to Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood is also behind another curriculum causing concern for parents—Get Real is a sex-education program for sixth and seventh graders. Parents in Cumberland County, North Carolina began to voice complaints about Get Real when it was introduced in their schools, pointing to graphic descriptions of sexual acts and advice for children such as using plastic wrap as a form of protection during oral sex. The Get Real program alarmed parents who objected to its promotion of homosexuality because its encouraging gender confusion among students, and its “jaw-dropping descriptions of various acts.” The implementation of these programs and others like them are the motivation behind the Sex Ed Sit Out. Organizers provided parents with a letter that could be sent to school principals explaining their protest. “We send our children to school and pay for your services through our taxes so that our children can learn reading, writing, science and history, not how to question their gender or how to have anal and oral sex,” the letter read. The letter made note of several programs other than Welcoming Schools and Get Real, including Making Proud Choices and Safe Schools. The letter also took aim at the lack of transparency about the adoption of these programs in some schools and districts, saying that this makes it difficult for parents to opt out of programs they deem harmful for their children. Another factor working against parents who do not want their children exposed to this material is the fact that these comprehensive programs push gender ideology and sexual behavior across the curriculum—in science, English, and history classes, for example, as well as health and life-skills classes. Because the objectionable content is woven throughout the entire curriculum, parents often cannot remove their student from a single offensive class. The fact that objectionable content is often packaged as “anti-bullying” or “relationships” education, rather than sex education, can also make it difficult for parents looking to opt out. A memo to the Orange County Board of Education was recently circulated online, in which the Board’s legal counsel advises that the California Healthy Youth Act allows parents to remove their children from sex and HIV education, but that this does not apply to programs covering “gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, discrimination, harassment, bullying, intimidation, relationships, or family.” And so, the Marxist/Progressives continue to use the education system for a system of indoctrination. A noted member of the CPUSA was Frank Marshall Davis who was mentor to Obama while Obama was living in Hawaii with his grandparents. Public displays of Soviet control over C.P.U.S.A. policies were hard to miss. After years of attacking Franklin D. Roosevelt for “fascist” policies and denouncing the New Deal as an elaborate plot to deceive the working class, the C.P.U.S.A. was stunned in 1935 when the Comintern, alarmed by the growing menace of Nazi Germany, abruptly changed course and called for a popular front against fascism. In place of the Comintern’s previous policy of treating any alliance with socialists and liberals as anathema, Moscow’s U-turn involved demanding that its constituent parties reach out to all and sundry to stop fascism. Running for president in 1936, Browder, head of the CPUSA offered indirect support to Roosevelt. Two years later, Communists — who had formerly regarded Roosevelt as a harbinger of American fascism — hailed the president for his calls for a democratic alliance against Hitler. Browder did not run for President in 1940 because the Communist Party did not want to detract from support for Roosevelt. Foreign nations have worked to influence American elections since the beginning of our Republic. The United States of America has tried to influence the elections of other nations including Obama giving taxpayer money to defeat Netanyahu. California’s legislature is poised to approve one of the most serious attacks against freedom of speech ever contemplated in U.S. history this week. Assembly Bill 2943 is legislation that would place that state in an Orwellian society by banning books, speech, and commercial services that would (in the state’s subjective view) help or encourage any willing consumer to overcome same-sex desires or gender confusion. It’s the latest stride for the LGBT agenda to promote their (and only their) message, declaring anyone who might have any other viewpoint or simply desire to learn varying perspectives subject to “unlawful business practice” remedies. In other words, a Christian bookstore could be sued for carrying a book such as Ryan T. Anderson’s latest, When Harry Became Sally, solely because the message is in conflict with the LGBT agenda. AB 2943 has been shoehorned rapidly through the legislative process in an attempt to give little time for opposition voices to be heard and stop this unconstitutional measure from being passed into law. The bill was approved 8-1 by the Assembly Judiciary Committee (7 Democrats and 1 Republican voting aye; 1 Republican voting no; 1 Republican abstaining) and is now heading to a vote as soon as Monday or early this week, according to California Family Council, which has been closely monitoring this bill. California Family Council President Jonathan Keller told Washington Examiner, “The State of California has no right to deny its residents the counseling and resources to help them find happiness or to shut down counselors, schools, and religious organizations that provide those services. Every person experiencing unwanted same-sex attraction must be allowed to choose the services and resources to help them achieve their desired goals and outcomes.” The legislation actually describes speaking favorably for traditional views of sexuality as “unfair or deceptive acts or practices.” In the bill, California makes a legislative declaration that “Contemporary science recognizes that being lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender is part of the natural spectrum of human identity” and that so-called “change efforts,” including merely speaking a different viewpoint, constitutes unlawful, unfair, or fraudulent business practices under the state’s consumer protection laws. The declaration further states that “California has a compelling interest in protecting consumers from false and deceptive practices that claim to change sexual orientation and in protecting consumers against exposure to serious harm caused by sexual orientation change efforts.” Shouldn’t that actually be a statement against viewpoints that seek to enable or persuade people, particularly at-risk categories such as children, from change efforts that differ with their biologically identified gender? But we live in a country that constitutionally values and protects freedom of speech. This means people like Ryan Anderson, Jonathan Keller, counselors, authors, consumers, and every other person that lives in or does any form of commerce within California has a fundamental right to try to convince you of his or her sincerely held beliefs and encourage you to adopt them as your own. They especially have the right to give you their opinion if you are actually seeking it. The LGBT community and its proponents likewise have that fundamental right to promote their message. The problem here is that the LGBT agenda does not want freedom in exchanging ideas, but rather they want to use the government as a propaganda tool to silence dissenters and banish any content that does not bow to their message. This is clearly evidenced by the legislative definitions of “sexual orientation change efforts,” which specifically include “any practices that seek to change an individual’s sexual orientation. This includes efforts to change behaviors or gender expressions, or to eliminate or reduce sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward individuals of the same sex” (emphasis added). But what is specifically excluded and still allowed to occur under this legislation? “‘Sexual orientation change efforts’ does not include psychotherapies that: (A) provide acceptance, support, and understanding of clients or the facilitation of clients’ coping, social support, and identity exploration and development […]; and (B) do not seek to change sexual orientation.” In other words, it’s fine to counsel and promote messages encouraging exploration of same-sex attraction, even if the patient came to a therapist with unwanted same-sex attraction. But it’s going to be illegal to help or encourage that person toward their desired goals of reducing same-sex attraction. Thus, this law is not viewpoint neutral and specifically targets psychotherapists, counselors, pastors, lay counselors, authors, speakers, and any other speakers from promoting a message of heterosexuality, and instead allows only a message affirming the LGBT viewpoint. This is patently unconstitutional, against First Amendment protections, and exceptionally dangerous. If a state government can pick and choose what messages it deems permissible and sanctioned, and which messages it deems impermissible and censored, freedom of speech has been lost for everyone. Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Matt Sharp explains the costly implications: “California AB 2943 makes it unlawful for any person to sell books, counseling services, or anything else that helps someone overcome unwanted same-sex attraction or gender identity confusion. As a result, it would be a violation if a pastor encourages a congregant to visit the church book store to purchase books that help people address sexual issues, perhaps including the Bible itself, which teaches about the importance of sexual purity within the confines of marriage between a man and a woman.” ADF also provided a legal memorandum in opposition to AB 2943, along with other reference material opposing the measure from institutions including the National Task force for Therapy Equality, Focus on the Family, American College of Pediatricians, and Family Policy Alliance, among others. Everyone should be free to promote their message and to also hear out ideas, find therapy, books, and other support to help them achieve their desired goals and outcomes without government interference. This is especially important in the context of a therapist-patient relationship, where the government has no business interfering with the goals set by the patient, as the reference materials indicate and provide support for. As ADF points out, decades of research on the same-sex attraction issue has failed to locate a specific genetic or biological cause for the development of same-sex attractions and there is no scientific finding that can pinpoint proof someone is homosexual. ADF further notes, “Faith traditions all agree that a person’s identity isn’t about sexual desires, but about the values a person chooses.” Whether or not you agree with that statement, thankfully our Constitution made it none of California’s business to make that decision for you. Our founders understood that government would be the single biggest threat to freedom in the United States, so they wrote the Constitution to protect that freedom for themselves and their posterity. One of the fundamental principles they instituted was divided government. They gave each branch of government specific powers and duties. The power to pardon was given to the executive. The United States Constitution in Article 11 Section 2 gives the power to pardon to the president with no requirement of review. It says, he (the president) shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment. Marxist/Progressive Rep. Adam Schiff has introduced a bill that would give Congress oversight of any pardon that President Trump grants to a subject of the Russia investigation or to a member of his family. In the event that Trump pardons someone connected to the Russia probe, Schiff's bill, known as the Abuse of the Pardon Prevention Act, would require the Justice Department to turn the case files for the investigation over to the House Judiciary Committee. Schiff said that the impetus of his bill was Trump's decision last week to pardon Scooter Libby, an aide to the Bush administration convicted of lying to the FBI in an investigation into the leaked identity of a CIA agent. "It would allow Congress to determine whether a pardon is an effort to obstruct justice," Schiff told the newspaper. "I think it would have the effect of discouraging a pardon used for the purpose of shielding the president or his family from prosecution." In the release, Schiff called the possibility of Trump granting a pardon to subjects of the Russia investigation "unsettling." Several former members of Trump's campaign, including former chairman Paul Manafort and national security adviser Michael Flynn, have been caught up in charges amid the investigation. "There are unsettling indications that President Trump could use the expansive pardon power granted by the Constitution as an instrument to undermine the Special Counsel’s investigation and other investigations into his business, family or his associates," Schiff writes. "At a time of constitutional peril, it is incumbent on the Congress to stand up for the rule of law by creating a strong disincentive to the President issuing pardons to protect himself and obstruct ongoing investigations.” The United States Constitution never granted congress the right of review in pardons, thus Schiff’s bill is a clear case of arbitrary rule and violates rule of law and the Constitution. It is one branch of government assuming an unconstitutional role. The only way congressional review would be constitutional would be if the United States Constitution was amended to give congress the right of review over pardons. The founders specifically told us that if the three branches maintain their mutual independence on each other our government may last a long time, but it would not be so if one branch can assume the authority of the other. This is clearly what Schiff and the Marxist/Progressives are proposing; but then they are also proposing changing from rule of law to arbitrary law, from limited government to big government, from rule by the people to rule by government, and the United States transforming from a free people to a people whose lives and interests are dominated by big government. The Marxist/Progressives hate freedom. The Marxist/Progressives despise the Bill of Rights. The Marxist/Progressives view the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution including the Bill of Rights, as a major obstacle to their goal of government dominance, or of instituting a collectivist society that is totally conforming and totally equal (a communist society). Schiff’s proposal is just another step in that direction. I find it terribly frustrating searching for real and meaningful news on the internet, reading newspapers, or on television. What is portrayed as news is gutter trash and gossip uttered by uninformed bigots, sports figures, Hollywood personalities and employees, imbeciles who have been elected to congress, and bombastic opinion manipulators who understand the more salacious and untruthful their claims, the more they are rewarded monetarily.
What the coach of the Spurs, some never was quarterback, or some female beating NFL player has to say about the current state of affairs is nothing more than meaningless chatter. What some foolish pretenders on a television show, some never was comedian, or somebody who gets paid to regurgitate memorized lines thinks, has no material impact on real happenings. What some pretender who was able to move into a predominant position as head of the FBI or other lying and self-serving members of the bureaucracy have to say about the morality of others and their moral standing to serve is a total waste of time and effort on the part of any Freedom Loving American. In my effort to learn what is happening in the world that will have an impact on the world for years and decades to come, I become resentful of the American public who seem to care only about gossip that will make characterless people wealthy such as Comey. I also do not care who Hannity employees as his attorney. That our press or news disseminating industry has become a cesspool of meaningless gossip is the fault of the American public. That we would believe what the Ladies of the View discuss, or what some high school senior believes about gun control has any meaningful relevance and give it top news billing is a revelation about us and not them. The United States is being transformed from a nation of freedom and independence to a tyrannical Marxist state is apparently of no consequence. That North Korea apparently now understands that a threat to their very existence is real if they continue to develop nuclear weapons is on the 30th page of newspapers. That Europe is now under the domination of a group in Brussels that advocates for all of the European countries to surrender their sovereignty to such group and permit those who have sworn to kill or enslave all non-Muslims to immigrate unimpeded into all European countries is not even reported. We Freedom Loving Americans must demand real news, or we will continue to have gossip dominated outlets serve as news outlets. Real and accurate information is critical for concerned citizens to reach conclusions. Freedom of speech and thought is essential for a free society. A tyranny requires control of speech and thought since tyranny thrives on ignorance, uninformed citizens, and conformity. |
