Yes, he was elected. Was it a fair election? If Houston was in California we could safely say no because the state of California, no longer holds fair elections. After election night, the majority party determines how many votes it needs to get the results it wants, and finds the votes in weird places. Since this election took place in Texas, the probabilities of it being a fair election are much greater. In that case, the only people that can be blamed for this type of insanity would be the voters. This is how a Marxist/Progressive (Democrat) approaches crime.
Houston's Marxist/Progressive (Democrat) mayor announced to the crooks and the criminals that they need to "chill" and wait until the coronavirus pandemic is over to commit crimes. Mayor Sylvester Turner made the plea to criminals during a media briefing on the coronavirus response in Houston on Monday. "Let me just make my plea. Until the coronavirus is resolved, criminals take a break, OK!" said Turner. "Stay home, OK? Stay home. And don't commit any crimes!" he added. "And that way, they'll stay safe and out of jail, and police officers can stay safe and go home to their families, OK?" Turner concluded. "So, everybody chill! Crooks, criminals, you chill! Wait until the coronavirus is over! OK, and then we'll all be OK!" OK!!!! Here is another approach to the China virus, this time from Bernie Sander’s and the other Socialists (Democrats) favorite example, Sweden. Listen up Bernie, De Blasio, Northham, Garcetti, and the rest who aspire to sit on the throne of a despot. As much of the western world has shut down amid the coronavirus outbreak, Sweden has taken a noticeably softer approach than its European neighbors who have closed schools, restaurants and nonessential services. Sweden has recommended its citizens work from home (if they’re able) and practice social distancing. Gatherings that exceed 500 people have been banned – compared with the ban on gatherings of more than two people in the U.K. and Germany. The government has also advised secondary schools and universities to close and conduct lectures online. Bars and restaurants, meanwhile, are allowed to stay open. Citizens have largely ignored these recommendations, according to a report from AFP. Over the weekend, bars and restaurants were packed with patrons. As of Tuesday, Sweden, a nation with 10,000,000+ population has 2,300 cases with 36 deaths, according to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University. It is worth keeping on eye on Sweden. Perhaps their approach is the correct approach. Bernie, De Blasio, Northham, Garcetti, and the rest of you Socialists (Democrats) why are you not singing the praises of Sweden in their approach to the China virus? The numbers seem to be quite good.

Not sure exactly what message the headline meant to convey, but based on facts to date, the normal implication of those terms would be way overstated. This is the story: The mayor of the nation's second-largest city warned that the coronavirus may become so pervasive, families ought to prepare for how they will isolate themselves at home without infecting others in their households. Anticipating a surge in COVID-19 cases this week that may overwhelm healthcare systems, Mayor Eric Garcetti urged people who test positive for the coronavirus not to rush to hospitals unless they have serious symptoms. Instead, he asked the city's 4 million residents to think about how they will separate themselves from family members while quarantining at home. “Don’t just take social distancing seriously, I hope each and every one of us take isolation seriously too,” Garcetti said as he described the strategy as the next phase in the fight against the pandemic. What I hear Garcetti say, after we move beyond all of the hysteria causing terminology, is to use good common sense. For instance, if you had contacted the flu, isolate yourself and do not go to the hospital unless you have serious symptoms. This is the headline CBS News Journalist Maria Mercader Dies at 54 After Testing Positive for Coronavirus Reading this headline any rational person would conclude that this relatively young and presumably healthy lady caught the virus and died from coronavirus complications. This is the story: Mercader had fought multiple health issues for the past two decades, including a bout with cancer, and had been on medical leave prior to the rise of coronavirus in the United States. The lady was relatively a young lady, but she was in way a healthy lady. The coronavirus may or may not have been a contributing factor to her death, but so could have the underlying health issues. Reading the headline and most of the story, the reader would not have known about her health issues. Here are the latest numbers, four days ago, concerning the flu virus this year. From the CDC: CDC estimates that so far this season there have been at least 39 million flu illnesses, 400,000 hospitalizations and 24,000 deaths from flu. Not one business closed because of it. Not one extra large pack of toilet paper purchased because of it (well in total candor I do not know if that was an accurate statement or not, probably not, but the point is that not one extra roll of toilet paper purchased because of media and political hysteria). The wildest and most heinous predictions are given headline news, only to learn from the rest of the story that these outlandish predictions are based on the worst possible factors including if nothing preventive was done. Some predictions that quite certain. More people will be deemed to have been infected than are known right now, both because they will catch the virus and because of more testing. More people will be hospitalized, how many is strictly conjecture. More people will die from the virus, is strictly conjecture. The death rate is lower than what is being reported. This is 100% factual. That is because we know there are more cases than have been reported that are not used in the mathematical equation. When we add a greater number to the denominator and keep the numerator the same, the quotient is lower. What we do not know is how many more people will die because of the drastic measures taken that have caused complications perhaps way beyond those caused by the virus. I do not know of a situation where such draconian projections have ever come true. If we knew more about the Bubonic Plague, perhaps I would have to revise the above statement. But, in my lifetime, the end of the human race has been predicted before. Another fact my friends, only ONE knows when the end of the human race will happen and it will not be due to any pandemic or man made occurrence; it will be because the Creator, the ONE, has said humanity will end now. Some will spend eternity in the presence of the Creator, while the many will spend eternity separated from the Creator. That is a certainty. You can print the headline and the story will confirm the headline. This is a time for reflection, reflection on who we are and what we want to be. We must ask ourselves just how much, if any, liberty we are willing to surrender. We must ask ourselves if we will continue to allow our loyalty to a political party supersede our loyalty to our country and our constitution. The first question would be a question mostly directed to those who would identify as conservative. The second question would be mostly directed to those who would identify as liberal. However, no matter how you identify, it will be worth your time to read the answer to both, because there are overlaps in these areas as there are in all areas.
Before I answer the above questions, let us examine the question of where the responsibility for the direction of any country lies. The answer is different depending on the type of government that exists in that country. In a collectivist (Marxist, communist, socialist, progressive, dictatorship) society the responsibility for all actions lies in the hands of the government. The role the people play is to serve that government and perform the duties assigned to the people by the government. Conformity is required and demanded. It is disloyal to question the policies of the government. In an individualist society, the type of society upon which our nation was founded, the role of the people is exactly the opposite of the role in a collectivist society. In the United States, it was designated that the people would be the sovereign and they would elect representatives to implement the will of the sovereign. This meant that the people would be totally responsible for all decisions made by the government because they were the government. Consequently, the people’s loyalty would have to lie not with a political party but with what they believed to be in the best interest of the country they ruled. The people must keep themselves totally informed by researching all aspects of every situation and only casting informed votes. Term limits for instance, were irrelevant because the people had complete authority over who their representative would be. The failure of any representative was a direct condemnation of the people. Conformity for the sake of conformity and not as a result as a well-researched and responsible conclusion would and should be considered as disloyal to the country the people ruled. With that background, let us look at the first question, how much of our liberties are we willing to surrender. To answer that question, we first of all must answer the question, how much time and effort are we willing to give to understand the problem and the situation. We must understand that to perform our duties the correct answer is not to give a tempered or acceptable answer, but what would be the best and most responsible answer, even if we are the only one with that answer. We must have taken the time to understand why we were given the ultimate law of the land The Untied States Constitution. We must understand the how and why others wish to change the Untied States Constitution. We must understand what a natural right is, what is a Republic, what is loyalty to the United States Constitution and not a political party. There are of course several different ways of accomplishing the above. The one I much prefer is to read many different books or articles about the same topic but with authors who have a different slant from the others. I find it most beneficial to read biographies of the same person by different people. It always astonishes me how much detail one author will ignore, and the other author will include. The end however is arriving at a conclusion based on a much more complete picture. I would liken this to the same thing as listening to a Sean Hannity as opposed to a Mark Levin. During the years I listened to Hannity, I determined I could not learn anything because he always said the same thing and if he favored an individual politician, that politician could do no wrong. I learned that Levin was just the opposite. Not only did he invite people with differing views, but he allowed them to speak and listened to what they had to say. Levin knows what he believes and why he believes it, but he is not dogmatic nor is he above questioning and differing the views of politicians he supports. I find Levin to be an independent thinker and non-conformist while I find Hannity to be a loyalist and conformist. This is not to pick on Hannity, but only to draw a contrast that is applicable to pundits on all sides of the political spectrum. Yes, we individualists have as our supreme command to perform our duty as sovereign in the best manner we can which would mandate loyalty to nothing else but the supreme law of the land, the Constitution of the United States. We must understand that once a liberty protected by the constitution is surrendered, it is gone forever. George Washington clearly warned us about the danger that is the second question. When we allow our loyalty to a political party to supersede our loyalty to our constitution, we can no longer identify as loyal Americans, but must identify as first and foremost loyal party members. Today, those who would identify as Democrats are declaring themselves to be collectivists (Marxist, communists, socialists, progressives – all virtually the same). The reason I can make this statement that many will call outlandish, is because the policies of the Democrat party of today follows the principles and policies of the collectivist and not of the Constitution of the United States. When we research this very question, we learn that the collectivist movement believes in entitlements over natural rights, democracy (which is dictatorship by the majority) over a republic (which mandates rule of law and protection of rights for all). The collectivist does not believe that government is the servant to the people, but that government is always supreme, and the people must be slaves of the state and conform to the dictates of the state. It is not the right of the people to research and reach their own conclusion, but they must accept without question the policies put forth by their government which is the party. There are many current examples of this thinking. Today, we who question the dictates of governors and mayors to surrender our liberty to assemble and our right to property, our businesses and our right to work, are called disloyal and alarmists. Yet, we have strong and convincing evidence that at the very least the evidence must be discussed and considered that would dispute their claims that a complete surrender to government is disloyal. This is not government by the people but total loyalty to a party. This is conformity. We are also learning that the collectivist demands and requires double standards. We were told by the collectivist party that the word of a woman should be believed without question when then Judge Kavanaugh was accused of some hideous acts. No supporting proof was ever offered, yet the word of the women would be enough to prevent Judge Kavanaugh from becoming Justice Kavanaugh. Today the presumed nominee for president of the collectivist party has been accused by a former employee of sexual misconduct. We are being told that the women can not be believed unless there is irrefutable evidence. This is in total violation of rule of law, a mandate under the United States Constitution. Rule of law requires the same standards be applied to all regardless of whether they are a member of our political party or not. If your leanings are to the individualist side of the political spectrum, I challenge you to educate yourself, way above the limitation of bumper stickers and 30 second sound bites, so you can make wise and responsible decisions always giving your loyalty to the United States Constitution and above your loyalty to an individual or to a party. If your leanings are to the collectivist side of the political spectrum, I challenge you to do an in-depth study of the collectivist philosophy, honestly questioning if it has ever produced the utopia you desire. Then I challenge you to honestly question if it can ever produce the utopia you desire. If your answer to the latter is yes, I encourage you to speak openly, honestly, and as informed as you possibly can for your beliefs. If you will be open, honest, and informed, that means you will rise above the conformity to the collectivist party but express your individual beliefs, such as admitting your double standard if you do not belief that Biden deserves the same type of scrutiny Kavanaugh received. If you will be that type of collectivist, you are critical to the continuation of the United States Constitution even though you do not support it. Our founders were wise enough to understand that open, honest, and informed disagreement is a critical factor to the continuation of a free individualist society. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
This is the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. An amendment to the Constitution of the United States becomes a part of the Constitution of the United States. The Constitution of the United State is the law of the land. That is right, not Congress, the President, the Supreme Court, a governor, a mayor, or anybody is above the Constitution of the United States. So please tell me, from where does a governor or anybody claim to get the authority to authority to limit the right to peaceably assemble. Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam criminalized gatherings of more than 10 people, even if they’re attending a religious service. This Marxist announced Monday that, effective Tuesday at midnight, “all public and private in person gatherings of 10 or more individuals are prohibited” in the state of Virginia. Guidance issued by the governor’s office regarding the order notes that religious institutions are not excluded from this order. Northam’s announcement is further expanded in Executive Order 53, which placed temporary restrictions on restaurants, recreational and entertainment gatherings, and non-essential retail businesses, as well as closed K-12 schools throughout the state due to the coronavirus pandemic. “Virginians are strongly encouraged to seek alternative means of attending religious services, such as virtually or via ‘drive-through’ worship,” the guidance says. “Places of worship that do conduct in-person services must limit gatherings to 10 people, to comply with the statewide 10-person ban.” Violation of this order will be considered a Class 1 misdemeanor. In Virginia, a Class 1 misdemeanor is punishable by confinement in jail for up to 12 months and a fine of up to $2,500, or both. If the Virginians or any American does not assemble because of an anti-Constitutional or illegal order, they are surrendering their protected liberties. People will say to us that this is in the best interest of the people of Virginia and the United States. That is absolutely wrong. If a group decides not to assemble for any reason, that is fine. That is their right, but government cannot order it. Today, it is the Chinese virus. Tomorrow it will be because driving to a place to assemble will produce carbon emissions and endanger the planet. There was a reason we were given the First Amendment and that is protect us, protect us from aspiring despots who place themselves above the Constitution of the United States. That my friends is a crisis. We have learned much from this frenzy through which we are currently passing. We have learned how much power and sovereignty the United States surrendered during the years of the Bushes, Clinton, and Obama. We willingly gave away our manufacturing base. We willingly gave away national security by becoming reliant on others for so many of our basic needs including medicine and medical supplies. We have learned that for our security we must become self-reliant again in all crucial areas just as we have become independent for our energy needs. We have learned that China is not our friend. We have learned that Iran cannot be trusted in any way. We have learned that we must put America first, because many forces in the world today wish to destroy America. Thank you, President Trump, for understanding what a person would hope every American President would understand, but clearly the four preceding you did not.
What has been reinforced is that a major political party (Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) in the United States despises the American ideals for which so many have suffered and even died. The ideals of natural rights endowed by the Creator on each individual and the ideal of a Republic that protects the rights of all, including the minority, are just two of these American ideals that now occupy the despise list of that party. Just like all collectivists (Marxists, communists, socialists, progressives, Democrats – all virtually the same), the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) will use their two predominant maxims: the ends always justify the means and never let a crisis go to waste. We have had reinforced that they will lie, manipulate, cheat, and connive to bring about their promised and desired transition from a free Republic to a dictatorial democracy under the rule of the “Dictatorship of the Proletariat.” What has been reinforced is that the same who desire a transition from an individualist society to a collectivist (Marxist, communist, socialist, progressive, Democrat – all virtually the same) society with complete and total control and dominance by the state will use anything to advance their agenda. This has been so fervently reinforced over the happenings of the last several weeks. Everything is dispensable to their agenda of total control and dominance. What we, the American people have surrendered is mind boggling. The irony is that we have not surrendered these rights to the federal government, but instead we have surrendered these rights and liberties to our state and local governments. This is because the federal government, or our president, understands that liberties are endowed by our Creator and are unalienable, and governments only role is to protect those liberties. It is the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) in our state and local governments that will gladly usurp what we abdicated. What we have willing surrendered is our critical liberty, it is one of the five protected in the First Amendment, and that is to freely assemble. Many of our state and local governments are defining the terms under which we can assemble including the number and reason. Every aspiring despot immediately limits the liberties of free speech, assembly, and the press. Inmost situations, the freedom of the press has already become a tool of the aspiring despots. We have surrendered our liberty of property. A business is a property, our right to earn a living is property, ad our right to come and go freely is property. Yet, we have told these state and local power grabbers that they can dictate what property we can retain and what we must surrender. State and local governments have assumed the role to determine not only assembly, but what hours a business can operate, what business is considered essential, who and when people can access that business, and where and when people can use even public facilities. These restrictions are being enforced by the use of fines and having essentials such as power and water eliminated. Gun and ammunition businesses are being considered non-essential while abortion clinics, liquor stores, and marijuana dispensaries are considered essential. Sounds like a political agenda. The Nevada governor has now even determined how medical personnel are to practice medicine by defining what medicine can and cannot be used. This is also political agenda. Now American public, we are at a crossroads. Will we learn? Will we bring strong action against those who would use any means to achieve their ends as well as use any crisis to achieve their anti American agenda by electing President Trump in November, insuring a conservative majority in the Senate, and sending Pelosi back to San Francisco so she can live in the squalor she desires for us? Will we immediately reclaim our rights, our liberties, and our property by refuting the illegal, unconstitutional, and anti-American restrictions on our God given and Constitutionally protected natural rights of life, liberty, and property? The choice is ours, live free or surrender to the collectivists and live as slaves to the state. Have you paid any attention to Dementia Joe (by the way where is Hunter) Biden? You are correct, it has been difficult. His handlers have done the best they can to keep him from the public. They did make one huge mistake, however. They allowed Dementia Joe (by the way where is Hunter) to create a studio in his home and then do a speech from the home studio. I understand none of the collaborating stations carried it live nor have they shown a tape. It did get on YouTube however, and it was painful.
Dementia Joe (by the way where is Hunter) Biden had problems reading from the teleprompter. And then for some reason the teleprompter crashed. If you thought Dementia Joe (by the way where is Hunter) Biden looked foolish when he tried to quote from the Declaration of Independence, this was so much worse. He stumbled and searched not just for words, but for thoughts as well. He forgot about which topic he was speaking. The DNC had to take notice. They have accomplished their goal of getting rid of Sanders, or so it seems. Now they have the perfect out to move beyond Dementia Joe (by the way where is Hunter) Biden. Nobody ever accused him of being an intellect by any stretch of the imagination, but he was capable of remembering his main topic, oh yes, he always strayed and rambled incoherently, but not like this. It was and is not only embarrassing, but very sad. The DNC has broken their own rules in this primary on a consistent basis. They have established new rules to accomplish their goal of eliminating Bernie Sanders. Now they have a great opportunity to move beyond the catastrophe of nominating Dementia Joe (by the way where is Hunter) Biden. Both dementia and Hunter would become points for which the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) would have no defense. The DNC could simply change the rules, cancel all future primaries, and go to the convention understanding they would go to the second or third ballot, perhaps beyond. No problem, they could still get the result they wanted, perhaps Governor Cuomo. Two rules the Marxist/Progressives never break: The ends always justify the means and never let a crisis go to waste. This time the crisis could be their means to arrive at the ends they are beginning to realize they need; Bernie who holds the same collectivist (Marxist, communist, socialist, progressive, Democrat – all virtually the same) ideals as they do but because he openly claims them, cannot be nominated, and they can rid themselves of Dementia Joe (by the way where is Hunter) Biden, who has become as abhorrent as Bernie. We have been warned just how horrible this pandemic is. We have been told that we must stay home and, surrender our right to assemble and allow the government to dictate how we run our private businesses. We even have calls from Cuomo and De Blasio to nationalize different parts of our economy. What we can say with certainty is that none of this would have happened had not the China Virus become the headline in every newspaper and dominated every electronic and print news outlet.
If the China Virus had not become the top story and center of every conversation, these FLU numbers would still be the same. These are numbers for the United States only and unlike the China Virus numbers, do not include any worldwide numbers. The CDC is telling us that through March 14,2020 there will be between 38,000,000 – 54,000,000 people that will have contacted the FLU virus. 17,000,000 – 25,000,000 will have seen a doctor. 390,000 – 710,000 will have been hospitalized. 23,000 – 59,000 will have died from the FLU. Not one meeting will have been canceled because of these numbers. Not one business will have been regulated by a government entity because of these numbers. Very limited news coverage will have taken place. When this worldwide overreaction will have come to an end over the China Virus, and there are already strong indications in places like China, areas of Europe, and Asia that we are on the downward slope, we will begin to hear the overreaction blame game being played. The primary recipient of these attacks will be President Trump, the same President Trump who has been blamed for not reacting quickly enough or as forcefully as they claim he should have reacted, even though when he closed the border with China very early, he was called a racist. China is already being excused for their role. In fact, many on the left are blaming the United States for the origination of the China Virus, as well as implicating that by calling this the China Virus, that reference has somehow made the virus even worse. This is totally irrational of course. What every American can only hope is that President Trump is overwhelmingly re-elected this fall along with expanding the conservative majority in the Senate and a conservative majority in the house. If in fact this does happen, we will witness a cleansing of what is referred to as the swamp or deep state in Washington D.C. Even you on the left should support President Trump. You will also greatly benefit, you will also be far freer, and you will also have liberties restored that have been taken over the last thirty years. To work to cleanse the bureaucracy and congress from those who believe sovereignty should rest with government is truly American. Yes, you liberals who still believe that free speech and assembly are critical to our freedom, join us Americans in restoring the people as the true sovereign in America. You will be welcomed and appreciated. I hope all use this time wisely. What a great time to study and learn why entitlements are not rights, why we are a Republic and not a democracy, why natural rights are inalienable, and the only role government is to have over natural rights is to protect them. Read and study the Constitution. Read and study the Federalist Papers and Madison's notes on the Constitution. Understand why the Constitution was an instrument for the protection of the rights of the people and not to protect the power of government. Read and understand why the biggest lie Obama ever told us was that Government was our friend.
Educate yourselves, not with bumper stickers and 30 second sound bites, but by reading, studying, contemplating, and discerning, and then decide if it is wise to surrender willingly to those who say government is your friend and has your best interest at heart. Donald Trump has made it his mission to take power from government -bureaucrats or individuals who have been hired and subsequently deem that they are important and knowledgeable, and power hungry elected officials who believe they best know how people should live their lives and even think - and give it back to the people, and for this Donald Trump is hated and despised. Ronald Reagan so wisely told us, "Government is not the solution, Government is the problem. You owe it to yourself to do an honest and thorough study of the philosophies of FDR and Obama - government is the only answer and solution and must be controller of all - and Reagan and Trump - government control and regulation always reduces freedom and reduces innovation, production, happiness, and strong families proportionately. Once you have studied these differences and understand the repercussions of both, you can than determine if it is wise to willingly surrender our rights and freedoms for the promises by government that their control and decisions are best for us. Is government your friend that wants to promote your freedom and liberties, or is government the problem? Before you answer the question, be sure you have studied the situation and can make a wise decision. Our founders studied and concluded that government that governs least is best. Marx, Lenin, Hitler, Mao, Castro, Chavez, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, and Barack Obama studied and concluded our founders were wrong and government control is the proper solution. On which side of the question are you. Again, do not answer until you have thoroughly studied. With this in mind, this would be a great time for you to go to Amazon or www.mygrandchildrensamerica.com and order and then read “The Road to Tyranny” and “Two Visions of America.” By the time you have digested these two fabulous explanations, a new book will be available that will be called, “Setting Brushfires of Freedom” that will give you the means to restore our freedoms and liberties. I have said this before and will say this many more times in the future. When our founders formed our government, they knew they were forming the single biggest threat to the freedoms they had just won. They did everything they could to protect those rights. They formed a limited government, a divided government, said the Constitution was the king and the people in government were servants, servants to the people of the country.
Our founders were wise people. They understood that when people, because that is all government is, who had a taste of power or control would be uncontrollable more often than not. They had lived under that very scenario. They understood the only way future Americans would remain free would be if they were also skeptical of those in power or government. When people are no longer skeptical but trust what is supposed to be a servant without question, the people will be losing or will have already lost their freedom. In about a weeks time the people of the United States have forfeited their constitutional right to freely and peaceable assemble. Individuals have forfeited their right to freely move about. Business owners have forfeited their right to run their business. What history has proven is that once a right is forfeited it is gone. I saw a comment on Facebook that confirmed everything I have stated above. It was chilling. The young lady said, "People just do what the government tells you to do so we can move on." I fear this is the predominant belief. This young lady has just totally surrendered her sovereignty to the government and has begged every American to do the same. Two weeks ago I would have said this is far fetched, it could never happen in the United States. Today I would say this scenario is not only possible but probable in the United States. That scenario would be the government telling us that the devastation of this virus is potentially the greatest crisis humanity could possibly face, which they have, therefore only we can save you and you must do exactly what we tell you. We believe this virus can not survive in hot weather, therefore we will bring trains with cattle cars, you must go to certain areas, voluntarily get into those cattle cars, you and your family and friends, and we will take you to this safe place in the middle of the desert. Scenarios like this have happened throughout history. We self-righteously ask why would anybody be so gullible? The young lady on Facebook answered that question. She said that we should just do whatever government tells us to do. She believes, like Comrade Obama told those students, "government is your friend." That is the lie every aspiring dictator wants people to believe. Government will not usurp the sovereignty from the people, people will willingly abdicate their right to sovereignty, people will willing become servants, serfs, and slaves to a despotic government. It is now politically correct to claim that to error on the side of caution is in the interest of the public. People buy into this nonsense. All situations should be looked upon logically. The problem with that is that in today’s political environment logically to the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) means anything that will destroy our freedom and liberty, our Constitution, and especially Donald Trump is logical. Yes, even if we close our nation and place our economy in a deep recession which places our national security in danger as well. But never forget these America haters truly believe in their age-old axiom, “The ends always justify the means.”
States and cities have literally closed. Commie Newsom announced that California schools might be closed for the rest of the year. Businesses have been closed by the dictatorial left, even though they have no legal right to do so. Some mayors have declared that guns and ammunition can not be sold. The Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) are declaring that assembly, free movement, and implementation of controls such as their healthcare and green new deal are the only solution. The saddest part is that the American public, even Freedom Loving Americans, are buying into this nonsense and adhering to this politically correct dictum that to error on the side of caution is best. Would you amputate your arm because you had a hangnail that an “expert” told you could kill you? Of course, not because you would look at the evidence and tell them they are nuts. Yet, we the public have opted for amputation over a hang nail. This so-called horrible virus began in Wuhan, China, despite what the Chinese and the left-wing press are claiming today. Wuhan is a city of between 6 o 7 million people. China has a population of 1.44 billion people. Nearly four months after the first cases of COVID-19 were discovered in Wuhan, the Chinese city has reported just one new case for the second day straight. Wuhan and the surrounding Hubai providence confirmed only one new case of the new coronavirus Monday and Tuesday, China's National Health Commission reported. Overall, the Chinese mainland has reported 80,894 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 3,237 deaths, but since, the number of new cases has dwindled, and more than 65,000 people recovered from the virus. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released data from the second week of the 2020 influenza season. The FluView report, which includes data for the week ending January 11, 2020, indicates that influenza activity remains high, but severity is not considered high at this point in the season. Nevertheless, the world is closed. In the meantime, we have numbers from the flu this year and not one news story, not one school closed, not one meeting canceled, not one business closed, if fact life goes on as normal. At this point in the season, CDC estimates indicate that there have been 13 million influenza illnesses, 120,000 hospitalizations, and 6600 flu-related deaths, reported in the middle of January. The CDC notes that the number of respiratory specimens that tested positive for the flu at clinical laboratories decreased over the past week from 23.6% to 22.9%. Visits to clinicians for influenza-like illness also decreased from 5.7% last week to 4.7% this week; however, activity for all US regions remain above baseline. In fact, 34 jurisdictions are experiencing high influenza-like illness activity. The percentage of deaths attributed to pneumonia and influenza also increased from 6.0% to 6.9%, but remains below the epidemic threshold According to the report, the overall rate of influenza-associated hospitalization increased to 1.9 per 100,000. The highest rate of hospitalization has been observed among adults aged ≥65 (47.6 per 100,000 population), followed by children aged 0-4 years (34.4 per 100,000 population) and adults aged 50-64 years (23.2 per 100,000 population). This report was as of the middle of January. The number of cases, hospitalizations, and deaths could only have increased since them. Yet, NOTHING. So when we who naturally question anything that has to do with government using anything to gain more and more control over our lives, the naturally cynical, do you realize why we say, no I will not amputate my arm because I have a hangnail. I understand the hangnail will be an inconvenience for a short time but once my arm is gone, I can never get it back. Once our liberties our gone, once we have surrendered more of our sovereignty, we can never get them back. The politically correct statement that it is better to error on the side of caution is just another way of telling us that “the ends always justify the means.” |
