Don Jans, the author of "My Grandchildren's America", believes that America is great because of it's promises of individual freedom and opportunity. Like most grandparents, he believes his grandchildren will have the ability and desire to excel, if that opportunity is still available. Will the changes promised and happening now, limit these freedoms and opportunities?
Don has been a student of history for over 40 years. He has concentrated in the study of European history with an emphasis on Russian history. This led him to his study of Karl Marx and Marxism. In addition to being a popular speaker on Marxism, Don has also had articles published on the topic. He also has been a guest on regional and national media broadcasts.

5.0 out of 5 starsWhere America is Heading!
December 24, 2018A friend gave me a copy of Don Jans' book, "The Road to Tyranny" and I have only several pages left to read. It is an easy to understand book in which Mr. Jans clearly explains the intentions of our Founding Fathers, that living in a country in which a government controls almost every aspect of our lives does not give each of us as individuals the freedom to pursue our own desires and our own happiness. When people believe that society as a whole is more important than the individual, when people believe that a government should decide what is best for us in every area of our lives, then each individual gives way to a collectivist society and we then lose the freedoms that have always made our country so unique. And sadly, far too many today believe that giving away our freedoms is best for all. I highly recommend this book for every person from middle school on up to and including retirement ages. If only schools would recommend this book to their students!!

5.0 out of 5 starsA MUST READ FOR ALL LOYAL AMERICANS
July 1, 2018What is the problem with Socialism and Democracy?
The latter entails rule by a mob - nice if you're a part of it and love being part of it, while the former entails being perfectly equal IN MISERY. Sadly, it appears that this is an adorable lifestyle for most Americans today.
This does not make the democratic ideal lifestyle authentic and right. Thinkers of intelligence know about the downsides, and America's founding fathers (remember them?) were also deeply troubled by this problem of mob rule. Their solution was to form a Republic which prohibited both mob rule and oligarchy.
The trouble is that a Republic, for all its merits, doesn't prevent the evils of mob rule and oligarchy from secretly conspiring and acting with evil intent against its illustrious nemesis.
In recent times the two evils have entered into a lethal pact. We can thank the Council on Foreign Relations (and other British-controlled orgs) for this. The Collective (in the foulest sense of the word) and the devilish oligarchs (Socialist-Globalists) are now working hand-in-hand to bring America to its knees. Sadly, the programs for deconstruction and destruction are succeeding. A study of recent political events provides us with solid proof of it.
Some concerned citizens are fighting back. This they do not with weapons but with pens - in books and speeches. They remind Americans of the merits of the original plan for government - limited, humane and goodly - and of the dire consequences of letting evil subvert it.
Authors such as Eustace Mullins. Ed Griffin, Myron Fagan, Dan Smoot, Senator Gary Allen, Ralph Epperson, Tex Marrs, and others, show in great detail how the Fabian-Marxist saboteurs and fifth-columnists work to infest government with their agents and agendas.
But the revelations must continue and not abate. More conscientious people must become immune to Leftist sleight-of-hand, and be able to effectively contradict the enemy's highly paid, media-savvy Wormtongues.
More importantly, the present chaos must be correctly contextualized (underlined).
Don successfully contextualizes modern sociopolitical problems; reminding us that their essence lies in the ancient conflict between the ONE and the MANY. He highlights the disease that beset and ruined so many communities and nations - the loss of individuality and Selfhood in political causes and mass consciousness.
He reminds his readers that individualism is a recent historical phenomenon, and that it is easily overwritten by the monstrous engine of influence known as Group-Think. The heroic and sane person stands apart - as an outsider - and keeps himself immune from its pestilence. Only in this way does he or she keep their minds clear and sharp. Only such a person is capable of healing his fellows and directing a truly progressive culture.
Without addressing this largely psychological perspective, there can be no hope of proactive change in America or the world. The Architects of Control are master psychologists. They know all there is to know about western man's psyche: his libido, syndromes, complexes, hang-ups, phobias, nightmare fears, neurotic tendencies, vices and inhibitions. What do we know of the Architects of Control? Far too little.
We change this around when we too brush up on psychology and learn to see ourselves not as victims but as heroes, realizing that Communism is nothing more than a doctrine which despises heroism, particularly as it manifested in America in the early days.
Don addresses the manner in which heroism has been undermined. He reminds us of the merits of the Republican system of government, and explains why the present state of decay exists.
This is an excellent book for readers new to these subjects. Reading it will make it far easier for readers to quickly engage with Pinkos and Communists and take them down intellectually. It makes it easier for us to overcome the "Goliath" that seeks to crush the spirit of individualism.
As George Orwell brilliantly and accurately said: "Socialists are the worst advertizement for themselves and their beliefs." He meant that it is not ultimately too difficult to karate-chop their primitive ideas and highfalutin arguments. However, the process starts with knowledge that is strong and true, and which can't be contradicted by today's crusading thugocracy. It starts with re-educating ourselves with the logic presented by Don in his book.
Don explains in clear language why America was never supposed to be a democracy and how the three branches of government have strayed from their roles and betrayed the People. He explains how this occurred and how the sovereignty of America was gradually and expertly subverted. He presents revealing quotes from America's founding fathers, showing that government was never supposed to be large and intrusive, let alone conspicuously predatory, extortionist and confiscatory, as it is today.
Loaded with facts and clear solutions for the future, I highly recommend Don's book. I salute him for taking on this immense challenge and contextualizing the main issue that under girds other more conspicuous sociopolitical dilemmas.
In short, Don reminds us that in order to save the day we must make a study of the enemy - the Collectivist. We must understand both Individualism as it applies to society and its nemesis Collectivism. This book is a great place to start your inquiry and study.
