When George Washington is mentioned, we think of the brave and wise general who seemed to be invincible as he rode amongst his troops during battle. We discuss his cunning and his bravery as he inspired his troops to go above and beyond as they crossed the Delaware and attacked the enemy in Trenton. But we do not discuss Washington’s wisdom and his ability to understand that our Republic relied on leadership from people like him; people who put the good of the nation above their own interests, people who above all else were virtuous.
This is from Washington’s farewell address: The greatest danger to the Union stemmed from the combination of factionalism and external invasion. Washington explained that partisanship “open[ed] the door to foreign influence and corruption” because it weakened voters’ abilities to make reasoned and disinterested choices. Rather than choosing the best men for office, the people would base decisions on “ill-founded jealousies and false alarms,” and so elect those in league with foreign conspirators. To avoid outside interference, Washington advocated a foreign policy based on neutrality and friendly commercial relations with all. Please go back and read the above paragraph once again, but slower this time. Understand what he is saying. Washington understood the dangers of factionalism. He understood the importance of all being Americans and not African Americans, or Black Americans, of Hispanic Americans, or Asian Americans, or some other Americans but all must be Americans with no modifications. Washington warned about political parties rising above the good and the needs of the country. He warned of the danger of people placing the good of the political party above the good of the country. Washington did understand that people are corrupt and will place their personal desires of wealth and power above the good of the country. He understood that individuals were susceptible to taking bribes from foreign nations for wealth and then placing their protection from exposure above the good of our nation. We could argue that Washington was indeed clairvoyant and saw the Biden Crime Family in operation some two hundred years or so in the future. I do not agree with that argument. I would argue that Washington understood the nature of weak people who sought greatness, that Washington understood that personal ambition placed above the good of the country brings on criminal activity and then that criminal activity must be protected at any cost. Washington understood the human nature of evil people. Washington understood the human nature of others would place their own political ambitions, their own misplaced beliefs above the good of the country. Washington understood that somebody with a perverted and evil mind like Joe Biden could someday steal power. The American left, that would be the Democrats and the RINOS, would have us believe that Washington and our other founding leaders were unwise and evil. But isn’t that what all evil power seekers want others to believe that those who expose them are indeed evil and that they are good. Deception is the hallmark of evil.
