“Setting a Brushfire of Freedom” is something every Freedom Loving American can and should be doing every day. “Setting a Brushfire of Freedom” is not telling somebody how to think but it is encouraging them to think. People have been indoctrinated. Indoctrination is telling people the solution and then having them constantly proving that solution as opposed to education, which is having people do their own due diligence and arriving at a conclusion based on their research. Indoctrination says this is the solution while education says you research and arrive at a solution.
In addition to Americans being indoctrinated, we are witnessing the left using propaganda. Propaganda is similar to indoctrination in that it tells people the solution even though reality would say differently. Propaganda is defined as the spreading of information, ideas, or rumors deliberately to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution, nation. It is influencing the outcome as opposed to providing factual information so people can arrive at their own conclusion. The purpose of indoctrination and propaganda is to have all people conform to one ideology. That is what Marx meant when he said we must be a “classless” society by eliminating all oppressors. Oppressors and all who denounce the evils of collectivism are defined as “enemies of the people” and must therefore be eliminated. Our goal, as we are about “Setting Brushfires of Freedom”, is to raise doubt in the minds of these who are professing the goodness of collectivism. We do this best by asking questions and not making statements. When we make a statement, we are inviting an argument. When we ask a question, we are inviting a conversation and an exchange of ideas. Our goal is to plant a seed of doubt that perhaps what these people have been told, could be wrong. Always encourage everybody to do their own research. Explain to them that research is trying to discover truth, so it requires research from all perspectives. We must understand that nobody likes to be told that what they believe is wrong. They must arrive at truth on their own. We can only lead them by conversing with them and raising doubt in their minds. Again, asking questions is superior to making statements. For you to be effective in your quest to be about “Setting Brushfires of Freedom” you must have a good understanding of what you believe as well as what they believe. If that requires you spending time to refreshing yourself or learning for the first time, it is time well spent. It is always best to have a good grasp on what we believe and why we believe it as well as what the other believes. Remember, we are not telling, but leading as we go about “Setting Brushfires of Freedom”.
