WE COULD LEARN FROM THE BRITS

We revolted from the Brits because they were acting as tyrants, telling the American Colonists how they were to live their lives and how they were to think.  Today, we have a major political party in the freed colonies advocating that we return to tyranny again and have the government tell we the people how we must live our lives and how we are to think.  The last presidential election we held in the freed colonies was in November of 2016.  According to the Constitution of the United States, yes Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) we still adhere to parts of that document despite your efforts to totally obliterate it, our next presidential election is scheduled for November of 2020.
 
November of 2020 is one year or 12 months from now.  The campaign for the election began in November of 2016.  That is right, we in the United States now have continuous political campaigns.  We have been having so called debates since June of 2019.  The first caucuses and primaries will begin in about three months with the party nominees to be officially named by Labor Day 2020.  In the meantime, we have been having meaningless polls dominating the news cycle.  As we learned in 2016, polls are no longer predictors but are used to try to sway public opinion with the only meaningful poll taken where and when it should; on election day.
 
The United Kingdom has been going through some rocky political times much like we have in the United States.  The people of the United Kingdom voted to exit the European Union about three years ago.  The deep state in the United Kingdom believes that the United Kingdom should remain a part of the European Union, a globalist organization that believes they supersede the sovereignty of the individual nations, and has thrown every possible roadblock in the way of the public demanded exit. 
 
To try to overcome these roadblocks, Prime Minister Boris Johnson declared that a national election would be held.  In many ways this national election is a repeat of the vote taken three years ago on whether or not the United Kingdom should remain a part of the European Union.  The outcome of this election will make the final determination, supposedly.
 
Johnson called for this election the end of October.  The election will take place on December 12th of 2020.  That is correct, approximately seven weeks from the time the election was called, it will be held.  Of course, there are many polls being conducted, perhaps far more meaningful than those in the United States which were first taken four years from the presidential election.  But, only seven weeks of campaigning.  Only seven weeks of pontificates.  Only seven weeks of listening to meaningless promises and rhetoric. 
 
How refreshing is that.
