Samuel Adams was a master at “Setting Brushfires of Freedom”. Samuel Adams understood the differences between freedom and tyranny and that the role played by government was at the center of this difference. The Revolutionary War was fought to free us from tyranny and allow us to live with individual liberty and freedom. The United States Constitution was written to protect us from the tyranny of government and allow us to live with individual liberty and freedom. The Bill of Rights was added to the Constitution to reinforce that in the United States of America the people would be free from the tyranny of government and live with individual liberty and freedom.
This is a critical concept. Should government dictate how we are to live our lives, how we are to think, or does each individual choose how they will live their life, how they will think? The collectivist (Marxist, communist, socialist, progressive, Democrat, - all virtually the same) ideology adheres to the former while the individualist (our founders and today’s Freedom Loving Americans) ideology adheres to the latter. The collectivist has and is telling the individualist that the institutions of society, including the police and military, must be reformed, reimagined, transformed to meet the social needs of the community. What are they really saying? The collectivist desires a classless society per Karl Marx. This is Marx’s way of saying that all people must live their lives and think so they conform to the dictates of the collective, or the communist party. The dictates of the communist party are to never be questioned. The dictates of the communist party are supreme to any other man-made rules such as a constitution, and they are supreme to the teachings of the Bible according to the collectivist. Marx told us that society must be destroyed, along with its institutions, and rebuilt to adhere to the communist dictates. He also taught that this would require a transition period which would place government under the control of the “Dictatorship of the Proletariat” (DP). During this time period, the DP would use any and all means, including despotic means, to bring about the transformation. Lenin defined DP in the following words: the dictatorship of proletariat means a most determined and most ruthless war waged by the new class against a more powerful enemy, the bourgeoisie, whose resistance is increased tenfold by their overthrow not in the strength of international capital, the strength and durability of their international connection, but also in the force of habit, in the strength of small-scale production. Different ways in which we are seeing he DP at work in the United States are restricting liberties such as speech, assembly, and right to bear arms. Also, manipulation of elections, using any fraudulent means to bring about the desired result, taking private property form one class to reward and enslave another, causing hatred by the use of the false narrative that we are racists, controlling the public by spreading fear and demanding compliance to foolish and destructive dictates such as closing small businesses, telling people to stay home, telling people they must wear masks and “socially distance”, and demonizing and ostracizing any who would correctly question the insanity of such, because of some flu virus that has not increased the number of deaths annually. The DP has used indoctrination, propaganda, and intimidation in many forms, to bring about this conformity to the demands and dictates of the communist way of thinking. Yes, the United States today is under the despotic terror of the “Dictatorship of the Proletariat” to bring about the transformation of the United States of America from a society of individual freedom and liberty to a society controlled by a Marxist totalitarian state. This would be a state that tells people how they are to live their lives and how they are to think. Our founders had an opposite view of the proper role of government. They followed the idea that a government that governs least governs best. The founders believed in limited government. “It is to be remembered that the general government is not to be charged with the whole power of making and administering laws. Its jurisdiction is limited to certain enumerated objects.” James Madison, Federalist #14 The Founders distrusted strong governments. Their own experience and study of history taught them that overly powerful governments turned oppressive. Before endeavoring to be about “Setting Brushfires of Freedom” be sure you know if you favor big government or limited government and why. If you favor limited government, if you are a true Freedom Loving American, ask others if they favor limited government or big government and why. Ask them if they believe in liberty and freedom and why. Ask them about the differences between these concepts, but remember, small steps are often far more productive than giant steps. The person with whom you are speaking has been indoctrinated, accepts the propaganda as truth, and is intimidated. Your job is to raise questions in their mind. You cannot change their mind for them, they must change their own mind. You are simply giving them some tools to do so.
