The single biggest challenge the United States faces is to end democracy and return to being a Constitutional Republic. Today we are much closer to being a democracy under the rule of the “Dictatorship of the Proletariat” than we are of being a nation with individual liberty.
People are easily distracted from the single most important challenge our society faces; will we be a society with individual liberty and freedom, or will we be a society that lives under the control and dictates by a dictator. Throughout most of history, societies lived under the controls and dictates of a dictator. In a few instances we learn of democracies being formed, but because of what a democracy is, which is in fact a dictatorship of the majority over the minority, these democracies soon became societies ruled by a despot. We have also learned that some dictators were benevolent, and others were despotic, but all strived to control and dictate. They all followed to some degree the comment of Lenin when he said that liberty was so valuable it must be rationed. Americans today believe we are a democracy. This is what they are taught in school, and this is what they are constantly told by politicians, the media, and academia. Unfortunately, for all Americans who also believe in individual liberty and freedom, America has been transformed into a democracy. Our founders had a choice to form our nation as a democracy or a constitutional republic. They wisely and knowingly chose constitutional republic. Alexander Hamilton stated, “Real liberty is neither found in despotism or the extremes of democracy, but in moderate governments.” Hamilton recognized the harms of a real democracy. Democracy excludes the minority’s rights. It reminds us of the classic saying, “Democracy is like two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch, but a republic is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.” Thomas Jefferson is our second Founder to see profound issues with democracy. Jefferson said, “The republican is the only form of government which is not eternally at open or secret war with the rights of mankind.” Jefferson recognized the secret war that occurs under a democracy, a war for power and control. The secret war is fought in many political systems. There is a reason Plato said, “Dictatorship naturally arises out of democracy.” John Adams saw the harm of democracy when he said, “Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There is never a democracy that did not commit suicide.” Adams knew that democracy is hard and often fraught with human error. Because of this, democracy often leads to a government takeover of the people, organized by the people. The word democracy is not mentioned in our founding documents, the Declaration of Independence, or the United States Constitution. Individual liberty “rule of law”, and limited government, the major differences between a republic and a democracy, are not only stressed, but specifically embedded in our founding documents, our history, and were the reasons for the revolution. Every one of these reasons is being challenged today and being transformed under the guise of safety, equality, and fairness. To have individual liberty ensures that the individual will be free to make their own choices and to have their own thoughts. We are being told today that the government must make all decisions for the wellbeing of the community and the safety of all. We are also being told that the individual can only say what the government or some other body believes to be acceptable for the good of the community and the protection of all. We are being told today that our laws should be applied differently depending on the beliefs and prejudices of the perpetrators. This applies to us being able to speak freely and openly about the 2020 election and how it was stolen. The evidence it overwhelming that it was indeed. If you are on the side of those in power you have, under their proclaimed democracy, the right to deny, even persecute, prosecute, deny constitutionally protected rights, and imprison, even place in solitary confinement, and torture any who would speak of the obvious. This is all justified because those in power believe you to be an enemy of the people or an insurrectionist. These same people endorse and encourage those who support the suppression and elimination of individual liberty, to riot, loot, commit arson, assault, and even murder and protect them in the name of democracy. Under their democracy, as in all democracies, arbitrary law has replaced “rule of law”. We are being told today that bigger government is always better government. Bigger government, we are told secures equality, and social justice. As in all democracies, equality and social justice are proclaimed because they are the antithesis of individual liberty and “rule of law”. The number one problem that must be fixed in the United States is to end democracy and restore our constitutional republic. That means we restore a government that does not ration liberty but protects the individual liberty for all, we restore “rule of law” and end “arbitrary law”, and we stop the growth of government and literally reduce government in any and all aspects.. In order to ensure that the United States does not continue down “The Road to Tyranny”, every Freedom Loving American must take the time to thoroughly understand the differences between a constitutional republic and a democracy and to understand why our founders chose constitutional republic over democracy. Once Freedom Loving Americans have taken the time to do this, they must then daily, be about “Setting Brushfires of Freedom”. One of the most critical aspects necessary to restoring our constitutional republic is to restore our elections so they are determined by the voters and not the vote counters. Fair and transparent elections are essential to the restoration of individual liberties, “rule of law”, and limited government.
