LIBERTY OR TYRANNY

​Samuel Adams told the colonists, “It is high time the people of this country explicitly declare if they will be free or slaves.” It is high time the people today make the same declaration. The Democrats, with the help of RINO’s are declaring that the United States must become a Marxist totalitarian state. The Democrats, with the help of RINO’s, are explicitly declaring that we should be slaves to the dictates and tyranny of government.
For the signers of the Declaration of Independence, “liberty” is the universal notion that every person should determine their own path to happiness free from undue government control. The Declaration of Independence states directly that all rights and liberties come from God. That means that our rights and liberties do not come from government. The Declaration of Independence also states that these rights and liberties are endowed rights and liberties. That means that our rights and liberties cannot be taken from us.
In order to have our Constitution ratified, we the people insisted that some of these rights and liberties be specifically named and protected. The First Amendment says, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”
The Ninth Amendment says, “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.” Our rights and liberties extend well beyond those stated in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights per this amendment. The essence is that government does not have the power to infringe in any way on our rights and liberties.
This is the essence of the philosophy of Individualism. Each individual is not only free to, but required to make their own decisions and then be responsible for the consequences of those decisions. Each individual is free from any government restraints so long as that individual does not infringe on the rights and liberties of another. I have a right to free speech. You have a right to free speech. I have no right to censor what you say or limit your ability to hear or read the ideas of others. You have no right to censor what I say or to limit my ability to hear or read the ideas of others. I have the right to life. I have no right to take your life. You have the right to life. You have no right to take my life or the life of another even if my life or the life of another would be a nuisance or an inconvenience to you.
You are not responsible for my happiness or my wellbeing. I am not responsible for your happiness or wellbeing. If I make mistakes, it is my responsibility to correct those mistakes. It is not my responsibility to correct your mistakes. This is why James Madison said, “No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.”
Our nation was founded on the principle of Individualism. Individualism is the social theory favoring freedom of action for individuals over collective or state control. Each individual has the freedom to make their own decisions and they then are responsible for the consequences of those decisions. Individualism is mandatory if a nation is to be a free state.
The other philosophy is the philosophy of collectivism. Collectivism is the essence of Marxism, communism, socialism, progressives, and the Democrats in the United States today. Collectivist cultures emphasize the needs and goals of the group as a whole over the needs and desires of each individual. Individuals are not responsible for the consequences of their decisions, but the group is. This is why Hillary told us it takes a village to raise a child. The group is responsible for raising the child and teaching the child values, not the parents. This is why Obama said that you did not build that business, but the community built the business, and any success must be shared equally with the community. This is why collectivists (Democrats with assistance from RINO’s) advocate for a steeply progressive income tax and a wide variety of other taxes along with a massive welfare state. They practice what Karl Marx said, “From each according to their ability to each according to their need.”
The collectivist mind set always results in tyranny. The collectivist mind set demands conforming thought and economic equality among the masses from birth to death. The collectivist mind set cannot prevail when people are encouraged and enabled to be free and independent thinkers. All people must conform to the doctrine of the collectivist ruling class or they must be eliminated.
Because of the belief in individual thought and freedom, individualism is mandatory for a free society. The United States was the first nation to be founded on individualist principles. The American experiment proved to be extremely successful. A society where people were free from the dictates of government controls proved the fallacy of collectivism.
Despite this success, the thirst for power of some and the egos of the academics could not accept that the individual could make better decisions for themselves than could the powerful and the academics. It is the collectivists’ purpose to control the people once again, which means to make them slaves to government. The collectivists gained control of the Democrat party. It has been the purpose of the Democrat party for the last 100+ years to end individualism in the United States and impose the limitations of collectivism upon we the people.
If you support liberty, you will never support the Democrat party in any form. If you support tyranny, you will give the Democrat party your full and total support.
