The left wants people to believe that far right means dangerous terrorists who want to deprive people of their rights. Far right would mean that you understand that our nation was founded on Biblical principles. These Biblical principles are in both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. They are referred to in many speeches and documented discussions of our founders. We were founded on the primary principles of limited government, rule or law, protection of liberties endowed to each of us by God, the right to life, to liberty and to property.
This was found in the Huffington Post and was written by Roanna Carleton-Taylor. She gives us an explanation of far right and far left: The political terminology of left, right, extreme left, far right can be a minefield for anybody trying to make sense of their newspaper. Not only are the terms hard to pin down to a precise definition they are also used interchangeably and (often) wrongly, leading to widespread confusion. (She is certainly correct in this statement.) Broadly speaking left wing views are concerned with the principles of Socialism. This is the belief that the state should work for the good of the people and which encompasses the ideas of democracy, free health care, the welfare state, and some level of redistribution of wealth. (She then goes on to confirm what Lenin said when he told us that democracy is indispensable to socialism and socialism is the gate way to communism. We are also told and correctly so that democracy is a dictatorship of one group over another.) Equally broadly speaking the right wing are concerned with the principles of Conservatism which is a belief in upholding traditional established values and institutions such as the monarchy and the church. Conservatism is built on the idea of a defined national identity and embraces a monocultural rather than a multicultural society. Political Conservatism is linked to the idea of Capitalism, the idea that the economy is strongest when based on competing factions, with wealth in the hands of the few used to employ the many. (Conservatism is not devoted to a monarchy or church. The American revolution was fought because of monarchy and a state church. Our founders wanted freedom from both. Conservatism is based on individualism believing we are all individuals and not just a meaningless part of a collective.) Further right than Conservatism is Libertarianism. This places more emphasis on the individual's rights than any obligation the individual has to community values. Libertarianism is concerned with freedom and has become intrinsically linked to the concept of free speech. In Libertarian economics both private ownership and private enterprise are encouraged. (Her definition of Libertarianism is a common definition of Conservatism as well and better describes our founding principles.) If you are described as a part of the far right, you would have supported the American Revolution, you would have celebrated the Declaration of Independence, you would have voted for ratification of the Constitution, and you would have prayed to almighty God for guidance, just like our founders did. If you are a part of the left, or vote for Democrats, you would have opposed the American Revolution, you would demonized the Declaration of Independence, you would have opposed the Constitution because it protected the rights of the people and opposed control by the government, and you would have agreed with Marx when he told us that communism begins where atheism begins.
