I hear people saying time after time they cannot discuss politics with other people because it always becomes a fight and then the people no longer like them. These same people with whom you do not want to discuss politics will not like you after all have lost their freedom to a Marxist totalitarian state either. The collectivist philosophy (Marxist, communist, socialist, progressive, Democrat – all virtually the same) is a philosophy of hatred and control. The more the collectivist controls the more they hate and these people with whom you avoided discussing this evil should be more upset with you because you avoided alerting them to this evil.
The collectivist philosophy has been embraced by the current Democrat Party, which has become the Communist Party of the United States. Control and hate is as much a part of the Democrats of today as it was to any and all collectivists in the past. That would include all the murderous Marxist dictatorships of the twentieth century. We, who claim to be Freedom Loving Americans believe that appeasement will buy us a few more years of peace. Appeasement has always and will always embolden evil. We are currently being told by factions that by allowing people to assault others, to steal, and to destroy we are some how going to lower crime. I guess if we define crime to only be murder, our crime statistics will tell us our crime has been lowered but the misery of crime will not be reduced due to these foolish appeasement declarations. This mentality does not exist just in our city and county governments, but goes to our federal institutions as well. I listen to different hearings on different issues and inevitably we hear the standard cop out question by those of the left and the right, when they ask the witness, “what would you suggest we do so this egregious act never happens again?” Of course, we hear some standard answer that is acclaimed to be enlightened as the witness pontificates that if only a new law was passed, or a new procedure was implemented all would be good. The proper answer would of course be to tell the truth and that truth would be that the egregious act would occur much less if there was enforcement of the laws currently on the books and proper consequences were applied to those who committed these unlawful acts. I also hear from people that so and so must be recalled for some reason. The fact is that the reason given for recall was known before the election. The question that must be asked is to those who knew before the election if they made it a point to point out to as many people as they the shortcoming now causing the concern instead of being afraid they would not be liked. A perfect example of this would be the Biden International Crime Family. Facts as to the extent and specific details about the practices as to how the Biden International Crime Family made their money were revealed when the Hunter Biden hard drive was finally made known months before the election. That is correct, but the evidence on the hard drive was concealed by the media and it was concealed by the social media giants, but you and I knew about it. Did we tell our family, friends, and acquaintances or were we to concerned about not being liked. Today, there is reams of hard evidence that the election was stolen. The Dominion voting machines have been proven to have greatly facilitated this fraud, evidence of violating procedures to safeguard the vote are documented, and the manipulation of in person voting has received sworn testimony. Yet, there are people today that are not aware of this hard evidence. The revelations are no longer smoking guns but are now just more confirmation of the known crimes. Have you revealed this irrefutable evidence to your family members, friends, and acquaintances or are you to concerned about not being liked. There are other examples of our freedoms being taken from us. For instance, in the Washington Post there was an article stating that Christians should not be allowed to hold public office. Unless this is directly confronted by us by discussing this with our family, friends, and acquaintances, even though some might not like us because we discussed it with them, this will happen. Even today, in the Senate Judiciary Committee, people are being opposed simply because they are Christians. This is happening despite the Constitutional prohibition against this very act. You are in all likelihood thinking Don, this is all good and well, but you just do not understand, when I mention these things it just ends in a big argument and then a big fight. My response is, it can only be an argument or a fight if you participate. I have never known of an argument that ends in a fight when there is only one participant. When you are “Setting Brushfires of Freedom” you must not allow that happening to become an argument or fight. Your purpose is to introduce the new concept to the other and simply request that they consider it, encourage them to do a little research, and simply remind them that knowing they are fair and open-minded people they will take an honest look. You might have to ask them again at a later time if they proved you right that they are fair and open-minded and did they do any research. Always understand that it could take several times before the fire catches, and you also have to understand that it might never catch. Always remember, if and when you engage in an argument or a fight with them, you have lost not only the battle but probably the war. People will never change their minds because we told them to change their minds, they will only change their minds when they have concluded the other way is better. Our job is to help them reach that point. To be an effective setter of brushfires you must understand the differences between individualism, which is really freedom and liberty, and collectivism which is really Marxism, communism, socialism, progressive, and is the heart of the Democrat Party today. I have written three books I would highly recommend you read to help you in this endeavor. The three books are entitled, “The Road to Tyranny”, “Two Visions of America”, and “Setting Brushfires of Freedom”. They are available on my website, on Amazon, or Barnes and Nobel.
