COURT SAID THAT INDEED WE ARE A REPUBLIC

We are a Republic. That is what our founders stated, that is how they formed us. This was done knowingly. We are not a democracy. This is what our founders stated. This was done knowingly. Finally, we have courts who are saying we are a Republic, and we must act like a Republic.
In a Republic, the law is supreme, not the whims of the majority. In a democracy, the law is ignored, and the whims of the majority are enforced.
The founders wrote the United States Constitution which made us a Constitutional Republic. In a Constitutional Republic the supreme law of the land would be the law as stated in the Constitution which makes the Constitution the Supreme law of the land.
Our Constitution gives ONLY congress the authority to make law. The Constitution does not give the executive branch the authority to make law. This is why Obama stated time after time he did not have the authority to change immigration law which DACA would do. However, Obama also said he had a pen and a phone and when the phone did not get him what he wanted, he reverted to the pen and furthered the transformation he promised; that he would transform the United States from a republic to a democracy.
The courts recently stated that we are a republic, the Constitution is the Supreme law of the land, that only congress can make law, and Obama was correct in that he did not have the Constitutional authority to impose DACA.
The story: An appeals court ruled that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, also known as the "Dream Act," was unlawful. The DACA program was put into place by Barack Obama, a Democrat, in 2012 after saying numerous times that he did not have the constitutional power to do so. The act allows illegal immigrants who arrived in the United States as children to remain on U.S. soil.
The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with Obama that he did not have the power to pass such an amnesty program without Congress passing a law.
It is rulings like this that give us reason to believe that maybe we can remain a free people. Our founders formed us as a republic because they understood that freedom can survive only if we keep our republic. The founders understood that if we were transformed to a democracy we would be transforming to dictatorship. This is what Obama did when he signed the executive order to make immigration law, he acted like a dictator.
