“It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.” Samuel Adams
Samuel Adams is often referred to as the Father of the American Revolution. He was a Freedom Loving American who was a strong proponent that our natural rights of life, liberty, and property come from our Creator and are not the purview of man nor government. It was this precept that formed the basis of the American Revolution. It is the opposition to this precept that is at the center of the desire to overthrow the government that was based on the concept of natural rights and is the heart of the current revolution. When in the midst of a revolution, which we are, it is critical to step away from emotion and look at facts so a strong and winning formula can be devised that will preserve and even strengthen that very precept upon which we were based; we have natural rights that come from our Creator and not government and these rights include, but are not limited to, life, liberty, and property, or as Thomas Jefferson said in the Declaration of Independence, “the pursuit of happiness.” When our Constitution was drafted and ratified, our founders did so on the premise that “The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government - lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.”― Patrick Henry. To insure this concept of the people being free from the tyranny of government, our nation is based on rule of law, a limited government, a divided government, and that people are the sovereign with the government being the servant of the people. A movement has been in place to overthrow that Constitution that limits government and recreate our society with government as the sovereign and the people as the servant. This is the core of collectivism (Marxism, communism, socialism, progressive, Democrats-all virtually the same). This movement began in earnest during the years of Woodrow Wilson when he called for a revision of the Constitution to make our nation a parliamentary system. It was also during this time period that the Constitution was amended to institute the Karl Marx demanded income tax so as to legalize the government’s right to confiscate the personal property of the citizen. The expansion of government, which brings with it a corresponding limitation of individual liberty, was greatly expanded during the years of collectivist Franklin Roosevelt. Roosevelt also proposed that all taxable income over $25,000 (1942 dollars) be 100% confiscated by the government. Roosevelt said this was fair and just. The expansion of government that limited individual liberty continued. It was in 2008 that the collectivists called for the complete abandonment of the Constitution when collectivist Obama declared that he would fundamentally transform the United States. What was made abundantly clear by his actions was that fundamental transformation meant that the Constitution would now become an instrument for the government to restrain the people and dominate the lives and interests of the people. In 2016 this fundamental transformation was dealt a devastating blow when a Washington outsider was elected by the people to be the President of the United States. This outsider, Donald Trump, won because he promised the American people, he would reverse the transformation that was happening and once again make government the servant and not the sovereign. What is known as the Washington elite or the swamp, understood that their being relegated to the role of servant threatened not only their power but would expose their corruption. They moved the transformation to a revolution and swore they would impeach (overthrow) Donald Trump. The collectivists have employed all the standard rules that all collectivist revolutionaries have employed in the past including collectivists Lenin, Hitler, Mao, Castro, and Chavez. This standard rule is, “The ends always justify the means.” If we who are Freedom Loving Americans, are going to thwart this fundamental transformation or revolution, we must become as determined as were the revolutionaries in the 1770’s. We must understand that we must become irate, tireless, and keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of all people. The question than becomes, how do we set brushfires of freedom in the minds of people. We must follow a few simple rules. The first rule is that we must understand what this evil of collectivism is and to where it leads. Americans do not understand collectivism. In fact, many who call themselves Freedom Loving Americans support many aspects of collectivism. Collectivism permeates our nation. At the heart of this evil is a one class society that requires a totally conforming populace. All must think alike and must acquiesce to the state being the supreme ruler. The masses must all be equal while the elite, who are sacrificing for the good of all, are given elite status. When the masses are all equal, the masses have totally abdicated their rights to life, liberty, and property. Freedom Loving Americans must educate themselves, so they understand not only the bumper sticker evils of collectivism, but also the nuances. Once this has been done, they must start the process of setting brushfires of freedom by conversing with family, friends, acquaintances, and others about the evils of collectivism. Notice, I said conversing. That means you do not debate or argue. You cannot convince a collectivist that what they are professing is evil and leads to tyranny, but you must plant the seed that enables them to reach that conclusion on their own. The most effective means of doing this is by asking well concealed leading question. We Freedom Loving Americans must understand that our task ahead will not be easy, but it will be worth the effort. Our first objective must be to reelect President Trump in 2020, to regain the House, and to increase the margin in the Senate, hopefully to a margin of eleven. If we can accomplish these goals, we should be able to increase the number of Freedom Loving governors and state legislators. Just as important is to place Freedom Loving Americans on school boards, city councils, and county boards. Collectivism is alive and well in our local communities and is performing the very role that was performed by the soviets in former collectivist nations. In many instances you might be the best candidate for the job. You must be willing to make that sacrifice. Remember that sacrifice so many have made for us. We must make that same sacrifice for the future of our nation, that is if we do not want our nation to become a Marxist tyranny as desired by those who are at the heart of the revolution now taking place.
