9DEBT CEILING INSANITY

Remember the saying attributed to Albert Einstein, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result?” This is a constant in our modern world. We do the same thing repeatedly and tell each other that this time the result will be different, this time the result will be what we have promised forever.
The so-called debt ceiling debate is an example. Yellen has said that the day of default is now June 1, which is much earlier than previously predicted. This should not be a surprise because the same thing is being done right now that has been done time and time again, government receipts are lower than expected and government expenditures are higher than expected. In addition, congress is not working for two weeks in May. These are the same actions that we have always had, and the results are predictable, that is budgets deficits and congress not working.
Now Senator John Tester from Montana, a Democrat who faces the voters in 2024, said, “We should pass a clean debt ceiling and then we should figure out a path forward so we aren’t doing this every year, I would like to see it done by figuring out ways that we can reduce the deficit and reduce the debt for a long term. And, quite frankly, get to a point where we have a balanced budget.”
This is a tried and true lie the left has used for a long time; let us take the easy way out now so we can get past the crisis and then we will fix the problem in the long term. The problem is the left lives by the rule, “the ends justify the means.” They lie. This promise has been made many times and the left never solves the problem but continues to do the same things that created the problem.
The other solution the left uses is to raise taxes. However, when taxes are raised receipts are reduced. When taxes are lowered receipts are increased. This rule is proven to be as reliable as gravity always pulling back to earth.
The left has thrived on the principle of Einstein’s rule of insanity. The left plays a long game using short term promises to reach their goal of total domination over the people or bringing about a communist tyrannical state.
The masses are just as insane because they believe the lies of the left based on the 9false promise of the left, this time it will be different.
