WINNERS AND LOSERS

American citizens who value the principles upon which our nation was founded are winners after the fiasco the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) brought about.  A legal scholar extraordinaire who truly understands the United States Constitution and believes the principles in the Constitution are the recipe for freedom and independence of the America people will take his place on the highest court of the land.
 
There were many losers.  Diane Feinstein’s reputation as a fair-minded person has been damaged.  She is perhaps the biggest loser.  Others who would have lost were not held in great esteem anyway.  Everybody who remotely follows politics knows that the truth and Blumenthal were never used in the same sentence before and will not be used together in the future.  We did learn that Booker, Harris, and Hirono deserve their reputations of not having any understanding of the Untied States Constitution, the Federalist Papers, and their history.  Whitehouse, who argued intelligently, with Justice Kavanaugh about the rulings Justice Kavanaugh had written proved that that was the exception for him when he reverted to his pathetic arguments dealing with of all things, dumb comments written in a high school yearbook. 
 
The accusers of Kavanaugh, who had some miraculous, but incomplete and murky revelations, were all losers, including Ford who wants to slink away with her FBI friend to avoid any perjury charges.  We are learning she is a good actress having fooled so many people that her testimony had truth connected to it.  All of the attorney’s representing the different accusers are losers, but none looked more foolish than Avenatti, who is truly grasping at straws.  He just keeps proving that he is the attorney referred to in all the lawyer jokes.
 
The other big winners are those Americans who saw, perhaps for the first time, who the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) really are.  They are interested only in power and care nothing about people.  They are willing to destroy anyone who gets in their way and use anyone to advance their cause.  This is an article written by one of those people who had their eyes opened. 
 
I’m An Immigrant, Minority Woman Going Republican Over Democrats’ Treatment Of Kavanaugh.
 
I have become a unicorn. My metamorphosis didn’t require a magic spell or potion, or even a trip to a well-reviewed plastic surgeon to add a horn to my head. All it took was Democrats’ treatment of Brett Kavanaugh over the last few weeks to turn me into that elusive creature: a minority, immigrant woman who supports Republicans.
 
I moved to the United States from Trinidad and Tobago eight years ago when I married my husband, Christopher, former U.S. Supreme Court justice Antonin Scalia’s eighth (and, in my opinion, most lovable) child. Some people might read that and think, “Well, that’s no surprise then; Justice Scalia’s daughter-in-law is hardly likely to be anything but Republican!”
 
But they would be wrong. I’ve always considered myself politically moderate: I am unapologetically pro-life, but my views on affirmative action, Black Lives Matter, and gun control made me sympathize strongly with Democratic perspectives and occasionally led to arguments with my husband and father-in-law.
 
That sense of political homelessness was a big reason that I was never in a hurry to become an American citizen. I figured I’d do it eventually, but not having a strong connection to either party, feeling unsure of where I fit into America’s strange political landscape, meant it was low on my list of priorities.
 
Fast-forward to 2018, and Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court. Protests and vows to block him by any means, “using every available tool,” followed almost immediately. Anybody paying attention knew that things were about to get interesting. Unfortunately, things got less interesting than ugly and convinced me that Democrats are not who they claim to be.
 
The party that established itself as a champion for the voiceless, powerless, and wrongfully accused, betrayed its values and launched a vicious attack on Kavanaugh that left him voiceless, powerless, and completely incapable of defending himself. Against all logic and good faith, they released uncorroborated allegations of sexual misconduct to the public, counting on the backdrop of the Me Too movement to make them that much harder to criticize or ignore. I still cannot reconcile these actions with the social and criminal justice reform platforms that Democrats campaign on.
 
In recent years, the left has also strongly condemned men in general, and straight white men in particular, for practicing toxic masculinity. Toxic masculinity, in their opinion, is the root cause of some of our most dangerous societal ills, such as domestic abuse, gun violence, and rape culture. The cure? Men should be encouraged to feel, cry, and express their emotions and display traits that are not typically considered masculine.
 
But when Kavanaugh cried at the post-allegation hearings while recounting the effects of weeks of being beaten down and insulted by Democratic senators and much of the media, the blowback from the left was astonishing. He was mocked. They questioned his authenticity.
 
He was accused of putting on a performance. They asked what reason he, a man who was defending himself against unproven allegations of sexual assault and gang rape, whose family had been threatened and whose name had been eternally tarnished, had to cry. That is gaslighting at its most egregious, from the most vocal opponents of the sort of manipulation that is usually perpetrated against women.
 
What’s worse is that to achieve all of this the left has gladly used a vulnerable woman against her wishes. Christine Blasey Ford had no intention or desire to ever become a household name. But when their initial attempts to derail Kavanaugh’s nomination failed and it seemed all but certain that he would be confirmed to the court, Democrats fed Ford to the wolves.
 
Only the wolves turned out to be sheep: I have seen countless Republicans defending and showing empathy for Ford on the news, giving her the benefit of the doubt on social media. By contrast, I have seen nothing of the sort for Kavanaugh from Democrats.
 
It’s impossible not to compare the way the process played out with Kavanaugh to what happened in 2016 with Merrick Garland, President Obama’s nominee to replace my father-in-law. In similar, though not identical, circumstances, Republicans showed much more respect and restraint. Sure, they played hardball and refused to hold hearings for Garland’s nomination, but they never sought to diminish the man. The Democrats have played a whole different and dishonorable game, one that has no rules and no winners.
 
These events opened my eyes to the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party. It’s actually a very exclusive club that wants me as a member based solely on stereotypes of who I am supposed to be. The core values they tout do not apply to everyone, as Kavanaugh can testify, but only to a very small, very specific subset of people who tick certain boxes or support them in their political agenda.
 
They have relished inflicting pain on Kavanaugh in large part because he is everything they hate: a straight white conservative male from a privileged background. It’s terrifying because, while that might not put me in any danger, it makes many of the best men I know and love prime targets.
 
That is why I am energized, for the first time, to become a citizen and empower myself with a vote. It will be a vote against the bullies on the left who broke a good man for no reason other than political differences. So, excuse me while I fill out some forms and tick some boxes—but not the ones you might expect.
