WHY OUR COUNTRY IS AT SUCH A CROSSROADS

Americans do not understand just how unique our county is, or should I say was. Our nation was founded as a Constitutional Republic. That means that the law or the Constitution is the monarch or the dictator. What the Constitution says is the law. However, our Constitution also allowed itself to change its mind. This is the amendment process. However, the amendment process is a slow and difficult process. The reason is so that any changes made are done so on a rational and deliberate basis and not an emotional basis.
Our republic was established in such a way as to minimize us becoming a tyranny. The entity that brings tyranny is always government. We were established with three independent (not co-equal) branches of government. The less centralized power is, the less likely it is that tyranny will prevail.
We were also established on the concept of natural law. Alexander Hamilton wrote, God gave us the rational faculties that allow us to understand law and to develop political systems that are consistent with it. What we really want out of our government are laws consistent with God’s laws and the laws of nature, with the end goal being that we can all enjoy our God-given rights (that life, liberty, and happiness mentioned elsewhere).
Our nation is, or was unique because we decentralized power, we were to be a nation of laws and not governed by emotions of people, and we were founded on the critical basis that our rights and liberties come from God and not men nor government.
There is a faction in America that says the above founding principles are wrong. The American Left is telling us that much in our country must change. They are telling us that our nation has to be transformed.
The American Left, which promotes collectivism, (collectivism is an ideology that is comprised of the beliefs of Marxism, communism, socialism, and progressivism). Collectivism demands subjugation of the individual to the demands of the collective as expressed by an oligarchy. We are now being led to believe that all power must be held by that oligarchy. The branches of government would still be maintained for appearance’s sake, but control would be held by the leaders of the collectivist party, or the oligarchy.
It would be the leaders of the party or the oligarchy that would determine what rights and liberties the people could have and/or which group of people could have those rights. These rights and liberties would be rewarded to those who comply with the demands of the oligarchy. Lenin said, “Liberty is so precious it must be rationed.”
As per all collectivist dictatorships of the past, the American Left is demanding that all agencies of government work for the greater good of the collectivist party. Any who support the demands of the oligarchy, regardless of their actions, are not subject to facing consequences for any harm they might have caused to the life or property of others. Those who oppose the demands of the oligarchy, will face consequences, not based on harm or damage caused to life and property of others, but based on what harm the oligarchy determines, real or imagined, was brought against their movement.
The transformation the American Left is demanding is the very tyranny our founders were determined to avoid. The American Left is demanding all conform to their collectivist ideas. The American Left is demanding that the Constitution of the United States becomes a relic of the past, that natural law is a destructive theory, and that all power be centralized under their ruling class.
These are ends desired by the American Left, and they have proven beyond any doubt that they will use any and all means to achieve that end.
