A quick review finds that the United States is a unique country. We were the first nation to be founded on the idea that people have natural rights granted by the Creator that are independent of government. These rights include life, liberty, and property, or the right to pursue our own happiness. Our Constitution was a unique document in that no other country had ever had a Constitution that was hailed as the law of the land. In our Constitution the founders did many unique things, but perhaps the two most unique were that they recognized that any form of government is always the biggest threat to the freedom of the people, so they specifically limited the power of government by defining what powers it would have. They recognized that freedom and liberty could only survive if power was divested between different independent branches of government, and they understood that government would try to control the freedom of the people so they specifically stated that the government was prevented from making any laws that limited the natural rights of the people.
Perhaps the most unique aspect of our new nation was that the people would be the sovereign, or the ruler and the government would be in place to serve and not to rule. Many then and now have ridiculed this idea stating that people must be controlled and ruled because they are not capable of ruling their own lives much less a government. These doubters about people being able to rule a country appear to have been proven correct. Polling conducted by the Annenberg Foundation and Xavier University has revealed, for example, that nearly half of adult Americans cannot pass the basic test — the test passed by more than 90 percent of immigrants — given to aspiring citizens. Worse, American citizens seem to demonstrate their greatest ignorance about the basics of the American political system. Eighty-five percent have no idea what the “rule of law” is, which is a fundamental feature of our county. But it gets worse. Some two-thirds do not know there are three branches of government. And 71 percent of American adult citizens do not know that our Constitution is the source of supreme law in the United States. It is this failure of the American public that has allowed the government to usurp the freedom and sovereignty of the American people, or perhaps more correctly, this is how the American people have abdicated their rights to freedom and sovereignty. We the people no longer say that we can handle our own affairs and lives and resent any intrusion by the government. That is right, many Americans, especially those who call themselves Democrats, instead say government, please tell me what you will and will not do to support me and my family, government please solve all my problems for me, and government provide all my needs for me and my family so I do not need to be responsible. Government, when I make a choice, understand that I am not responsible for any negative consequences because somehow, I was and am a victim of someone or something. Yes, government please run my life for me and also tell me how to think. In today’s world, we Americans are rejecting the principles our founders understood were critical to our freedom and our sovereignty. One of these key principles is the idea of fair and equal treatment under the law. This concept was established even before the Declaration of Independence was signed. Some British soldiers shot and killed some unarmed citizens of Boston. The American principle that came from this was that these British soldiers should be given a fair trial and be able to have a lawyer, be able to confront their accusers, were not required to establish their innocence but instead their guilt must be proven, and the proceeds would be conducted in public and be completely transparent. The lawyer that defended these British soldiers was John Adams, the same John Adams who was instrumental in writing the Declaration of Independence, who served as our first vice president and our second president, and who stated that the facts must rule and not sentiment, which is exactly the opposite of what Joe Biden said when he stated that facts cannot get in the way of truth. The founders also understood that freedom of speech was the cornerstone of freedom and a sovereign people. So definite were they about this irrefutable truth that they stated in the first amendment that congress could make NO law abridging (that means to limit) this fundamental right. Today we are seeing this cornerstone of freedom being attacked by claiming that speech that might hurt the feelings of others is hate speech, and this hate speech can be abridged. It was this speech that expresses different ideas and political thoughts that was the speech the first amendment protects. Today we have mobs and thugs disrupting free expression of speech almost on a weekly basis and a major political party supports, promotes, and defends these mobs and thugs. Today we have in all facets of our society, but perhaps most prevalent in the very facet where free speech should prevail, our educational institutions, being limited, curtailed, and even dictated to conform to only one ideal. We even have today, in our political process, those who would aspire to become our chief executive, demanding the limitation and curtailment of the speech of our current chief executive because they disagree with that speech or that speech is revealing corruption to which they are a party. The most frightening aspect for the call for the reversal of the very principles our founders understood where critical for the protection and thus preserving freedom of the people and the sovereignty of the people, is that these calls are being made in the name of preserving freedom and protecting and preserving the Constitution of the United States. As we learned in the poll noted above, the overwhelming number of Americans have no idea that what these left-wing politicians are in fact advocating, is a complete obliteration of fairness, rule of law, limited government, divided government, and sovereignty of the people. Yes, they are calling for a complete repudiation of the unique principles upon which our nation was founded and as Obama stated, to fundamentally transform the United States to a Marxist tyrannical state. Any citizen who has not taken the time or made the effort to study our founding would be what Alinsky called a “useful idiot.” Any who would call themselves a Democrat and support the modern Democrat party, which is in fact the Marxist/Progressive Party, would be what Alinsky called a “useful Idiot.” Any who would support the likes of RHINO’s such as the now deceased John McCain, and the still living Romney, Ryan, Boehner and the like would be what Alinsky called a “useful idiot.” America will lose its freedom and sovereignty of the people because the American people will and are abdicating their rights to freedom and sovereignty as shown by the above poll and the huge number of what Alinsky called “useful idiots.” If you are in any of the above categories, you can escape from that scourge by taking the time and making the effort to learn the uniqueness of America and how that uniqueness was to be protected and preserved, and by learning what inevitably happens to any nation that follows the course outlined by the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats).
