We just came through another government shutdown, simply because congress now believes, apparently, that our Constitution gives them the mandate and the authority to run our nation with continuing resolutions. Anyway, this is how we have operated for the last decade or so. Clearly the Constitution mandates that congress is to pass budgets.
Now we have resorted to continuing resolutions for three-week periods at a time. Schumer, Pelosi, McConnell, and Ryan have proven under their leadership that the United States government would be operated better if the Keystone Cops were in charge. Hopefully the Keystone Cops could fund the government for at least a month at a time. February 8 is doomsday. Another shutdown is looming with all of the posturing and pontificating that goes along with it. All the posturing and pontificating proves is that the American people have failed. The easy answer to fix our problem, according to many people would be to have term limits. Term limits already exist. The term of a senator is 6 years and the term of a representative is 2 years. To limit the number of terms an individual can serve is not the answer either. We tried it in California, and if anything, our legislature has become even more incompetent. The only answer is the voter. The voters are uninformed and uninterested. This has become more and more the case as our school system has become an indoctrination system. Our students are taught multi-culturalism, sex education, two mommies and two daddies, social justice, and all else that goes along with the mandated Marxist indoctrination programs, but they are not taught accurate American history. Until that happens, nothing will change. Freedom Loving Americans, we must begin to change the indoctrination system back to an education system, that is teach kids how to think and not what to think, or we will no longer be the land of the free and the home of the brave. It is our choice.
