THEY DO NOT CHANGE

I am currently reading a book by Leon Trotsky called “The Revolution Betrayed.” We all know the story of Trotsky. Trotsky was instrumental in the 1905 revolution. He joined forces with Lenin in the 1917 revolution and led the Red Forces for the Bolsheviks in the civil war in Russia. Trotsky was certainly one of the most intelligent of the party and had a thorough understanding of the writings of Marx and Engels.
After the death of Lenin and the takeover of the party by Stalin, Trotsky was considered to be a threat by Stalin to Stalin. Trotsky did escape from Russia but was hunted down by Stalin’s police force, Stalin’s police force was what we now call the FBI, and killed in Mexico.
As I was reading Trotsky’s thoughts on why he believed the revolution did not produce the expected results of social equality and economic success as outlined by Marx and Engels. Trotsky gives a straightforward analysis. His criticism surrounds the make-believe world of Stalin.
What is reinforced by Trotsky is that communists, even then just like now in the Untied States, never admit that their choices failed. They, like the Democrats in the United States, always place the blame for failure on others. They, like the Democrats in the United States, lie about results and manipulate numbers to give the incorrect impression that what they are doing is working despite the obvious. They, like the Democrats in the United States, will double down of failed policies, they will say one thing and do exactly the other.
As I was reading, it became evident to me that Trotsky was writing about Stalin, but his analysis could have substituted Democrats in the United States for Stalin and it would have been just as accurate.
A communist is a communist, The Democrats of the United States are communists. Their failures are the failures of communism. Collectivism does not, cannot work. Collectivism. communism is doomed to failure. The policies of Lenin, the policies of Stalin, and the polices of the Democrats in the United States will always end in social immorality, economic failure, and destruction of their society.
