THEY ARE BUREAUCRATS, NOT DECISION MAKERS. THE UNITED STATES IS NOT A COMMUNIST STATE, YET

Bureaucrats are not elected officials. Many are not even appointed and confirmed. They are simply hired. Sadly, once hired, it is exceedingly difficult, in today’s world, to get rid of them regardless of how incompetent they are. Unfortunately, those on the left view bureaucrats as an authority.
 
This is not unusual. In the collectivist (Marxist, communist, socialist, progressive, Democrat, - all virtually the same) world, bureaucrats are the authority. Who has the authority to make decisions, is a major divide between the United States Obama promised to fundamentally transform, and the United States into which he wanted the United States transformed. In the United States Comrade Obama and his fellow communists despise, the United States that is a Republic where the people elect representatives to make decisions, the bureaucrats play the role of secondary servant to the people. They perform administrative functions including gathering and presenting information so the elected representatives can make the decisions.
 
In the communist world, the world of the modern Democrat Party, the bureaucracy is the all-powerful authoritarian and decision-making arm of government. In the United States that Comrade Obama promised, elected officials are merely figure heads with at the most, having the power to make suggestions and recommendations to the party official bureaucrats. What we have seen in the United States is that part of this fundamental transformation has taken place. If we are to remain a free and independent people, we must stop that trend immediately.
 
Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus task force coordinator, and a bureaucrat said that it is difficult to tell if the country will close again because of the pandemic. Birx told ABC’s “This Week” that officials will learn in the coming months how to “maintain openness and safety” while reopening.
 
“I want to be very clear to the American people – we are preparing for that potential fall issue,” she said, adding that officials are focused on gathering personal protective equipment and ventilators and advancing therapeutics and vaccine development.
 
The American people must make it clear to Brix that she is not an elected official and has no authority or right to tell the American people if there will be a lockdown at any time. The American people must make it clear to Brix that her only role is to advise the elected officials as to what her findings might be, and then the elected officials would decide. The American people would then decide if they agreed with the decision by voicing their opinion in the next election.
 
You see Ms. Brix, the fundamental transformation promised by Comrade Obama is not complete. Until that fundamental transformation has been completed to a Marxist totalitarian state, you will  be just a bureaucrat  who advises, and not a bureaucrat who decides.
