Which policies are best for the people? Are fences built to keep people from coming or going? Are people fleeing from or fleeing to? The purpose of the fence is a direct reflection on the policies.
There are continuing arguments amongst those who set policy, report policy, and debate policy. The argument over the centuries has been centered around the power of government and the liberties of people. Should the power of government be limited or unlimited? Should the liberties of people be protected from being abridged or infringed or should the liberties of the people be subject to rationing by the government? The arguments are never straightforward. The skillful use of propaganda swings the sentiment of the people. It is after the policies have been implemented that we are able to determine whether the people agree or disagree. We know this by the numbers of people fleeing from or fleeing to. Eastern Europe came under the control of the Communists, with the assistance of FDR, after World II. The members of the Soviet Bloc set up a system to keep people from fleeing the promise of utopia through the total control of the state. Once people had lived under the unlimited power of the government many decided to flee at any cost. When Hitler was consolidating power in Germany, he promised a thousand-year government that would bring prosperity and freedom to the German people. Once Hitler had the power the people learned that prosperity and freedom was only for those who totally conformed to the National Socialist agenda. People tried to flee Germany at any cost. The United States was the first nation that was founded on the principle that liberty comes from God and not from government. The United States was founded on the principle that the power of government must be limited, and the liberty of the people protected. People fled to the United States at any cost. In the United States today we have states and cities that say the power of government must be unlimited, that the protection of the criminal is paramount to that of the victim or citizen, that the government has the right to control speech, attitudes, and behaviors. That the schools must indoctrinate the children, must teach them to hate, and this must be taught at the sake of educating them to read, to think, math, and what many believed to be proper subjects for schools to teach is enforced. These states that believe in the unlimited power of government and limited liberties are commonly referred to as blue states. They would include most of the Northeast states, Illinois, the West Coast states and prior to 2020 perhaps Virginia. The cities would include many larger cities like New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, St. Louis, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Detroit, and others. What is happening in these states and cities that claim government is all powerful, the rights of the people must be limited, and the rights of the criminal must be placed before the rights of the victim and citizen are fleeing citizen flight as honest and hardworking people are fleeing from the corruption, crime, confiscation, control, and chaos. They are fleeing to those areas that limit the power of government, protect the liberty of the people, educate, not indoctrinate, or do just the opposite of the blue areas. Just as people fled the members of the Soviet bloc nations and Germany, people are fleeing the states and the cities who advocate the very same political beliefs and cultural philosophies as did those controlling Soviet states and Germany. People, once they had lived under that control, learned that the promises were indeed propaganda, and the reality was corruption, crime, confiscation, control, and chaos. Determine what you support. Would you flee to unlimited government power and limited liberty, or would you flee to limited government and unlimited liberty? Once you have answered that question, you have answered how you must vote this November.
