The progressive movement is not a progressive movement, but a regressive movement. Progressive has been defined as making use of or interested in new ideas, findings, or opportunities. Regressive is defined as returning to a former or less developed state; characterized by regression. Regression is what the Marxist/Progressive movement is advocating for the United States today.
Sovereign is used to describe the person or institution that is the highest power. The sovereign has the final say in all decisions. When the United States became a nation, our founders took a dramatic turn from history. Government had always been the ultimate power over people. What the head of government said or declared was the law of the land and the individual had no recourse. The sovereign rulers said in fact they were sovereign because they were the agent of God here on earth, thus legitimizing their sovereignty. Our founders acknowledged the sovereignty of God but differed from the rest of the world in that they did not place an individual or institution in the middle between God and the people. Our founders said that the role of government was not to rule the people but to serve the people and to insure the rights given by God directly to man were not infringed upon by government. The role of government was not to act as ruler on earth because the people would have the role of sovereign on earth. The founders were incredibly forward-looking people, in fact they were liberal or progressive because they changed the way government was to be viewed from the way it had been viewed for centuries prior. Americans are not taught this in history classes. The fact is that history has been rewritten so many Americans view the founders as being regressive thinkers so the modern “progressive” will have their views regarded as progressive and not seen as the regressive views they really are. What we are witnessing in the United States today is the movement to establish government’s role as sovereign once again. The modern progressive movement has taken the position that what are considered to be inalienable rights granted by our Creator to us as individuals; freedom of speech and thought, freedom to peaceably assemble to voice our disagreements, freedom to worship God as we choose, freedom to object to government when government views it’s role as sovereign, and so many more rights that are not mentioned as stated by the Ninth Amendment, are really rights to be granted by government as they wish. What we are witnessing in the United States today is a movement orchestrated and controlled by “elites” who believe the happiness of individuals is best determined by them as opposed to the individual. These movements are extremely regressive movements and take us back to the darkest days of history when the Sovereign literally ran the lives of the individual and dictated all actions of the individual. Karl Marx described this as a classless society. In the classless society all people would conform to the same thoughts and ideas. All people would be equal in all aspects of society including social, political, and economics. Individuals differences were not to be recognized, especially when those individual differences would be detrimental to the group as determined by the group. Freedom can only exist when the individual is not only allowed but encouraged to exercise those inalienable rights given to us by our Creator. Perhaps the most important of these rights is that right to thoughts and ideas and the freedom to express these thoughts and ideas. The Marxist/Progressive movement in the United States today is telling us that if we do not conform to their collectivist ideal than we are not only reactionary, but regressive. The exact opposite is what history would tell us to be the truth. The regressive would demonize any who disagreed with their idea that the women’s right to choose was a right of liberation as opposed to an action that denies the right to be born by another individual, that weather, even climate, has changed throughout history, that individuals, regardless of race or gender are to be treated equally based on their individuality, that all individuals should not be limited in their desire to achieve in whatever field they chose, and that we as individuals have the freedom to make choices and we as individuals reap or suffer the consequences. What the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) are telling us today is that we as individuals must accept the role of government as our sovereign. What many of that movement further advocate is that no Creator exists, therefore their role of sovereign is supreme. This is the same position assumed by many of the ancient dictators as well as many of the modern actual or aspiring dictators including Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Castro, and Obama and his fellow comrades.
