THE DEMOCRAT PARTY HAS MOVED TO THE LEFT OF BERNIE SANDERS

The Democrat Party has moved to the left Bernie Sanders. Where on the scale of leftists does that place the Democrat Party????
 
Bernie Sanders calls himself a Democratic Socialist. Many socialists have referred to themselves as democratic. When Bernie Sanders hit the national scene in 2016 challenging Hillary Clinton for the nomination of the Democrat Party, he was viewed as being on the far-left fringes of the party.
 
Fast forward to 2020, yes just four years later, and we find that Bernie Sanders, the self-declared Democratic Socialist is no longer on the far-left fringes of the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party has moved to the left of even Bernie Sanders. We saw this during the primary debates where Bernie Sanders was attacked at times for not being far enough left, but mostly in subtle details.
 
But today, the Democrat Party and Bernie Sanders have reached a much larger divide. The Democrat Party is calling for the defunding and the disbanding of police forces across the nation. Minneapolis is in the process of disbanding their police force. Teacher unions are demanding that schools no longer be associated with police forces. And each day we are hearing more and more outlandish demands by the Democrat Party.
 
Bernie Sanders has stated he disagrees with these demands. To say the ‘Defund Police’ movement is radical is an understatement—especially when even a proud socialist is not on board with the idea. 
 
In an interview published in The New Yorker, Sen. Bernie Sanders pushed back on calls for a police-free America and instead said more training and higher pay for police officers should be part of reform efforts.
 
“Do I think we should not have police departments in America? No, I do not. There’s no city in the world that does not have police departments,” he said. “What you need are—I didn’t call for more money for police departments. I called for police departments that have well-educated, well-trained, well-paid professionals. And, too often around this country right now, you have police officers who take the job at very low payment, don’t have much education, don’t have much training—and I want to change that.”
 
Bernie Sanders has referred to himself as a Democratic Socialist. The Democrat Party has moved even further left than Bernie Sanders. Lenin told us that socialism is the gateway to communism. The Democrat Party has now become the Democratic Communist Party of the United States.
