8/7/2018 MARXIST/PROGRESSIVES (DEMOCRATS) CALL FOR PROTECTION OF DEMOCRACY – WHICH IS A THREAT TO OUR REPUBLIC, THE CONSTITUTION, THE BILL OF RIGHTS, AND FREEDOMRead NowConsistently the members of the Marxist/Progressive (Democrat) Party have told us what a threat the current administration is to our democracy. We have heard this from such notable Comrades as Obama, Clinton, Schiff, Pelosi, and Schumer to name but a few. What these Comrades fail to explain, perhaps they do not even know, that our nation was formed purposefully to be a Republic and not a Democracy. Our founders understood that a Democracy leads to tyranny and or anarchy. Our founders believed the protection of the rights of the individual given to us by our Creator were critical to a free and independent people as opposed to having the mob rule mentality of a Democracy dictate their will upon all.
In today's America we are seeing the results of democracy that are being supported by the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats); BLM and Antifa restricting the basic freedoms of the first amendment which are so critical to freedom, support for the restriction of free and independent ideas even if you disagree as shown by the Marxist/Progressive (Democrat) support for censorship in all forms of media including social media, the restriction of the practice of freedom to practice ones chosen beliefs if those beliefs are Biblically based, and the demand of the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) that we impose the standard of arbitrary law where different rules and standards are applied based on the persons political beliefs – case in point would be the non-investigation of the crimes of Hillary Clinton vs the falsified and manufactured documents to propel the witch-hunt against Trump. The rationalization for these abuses supported and perpetuated by the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) are based on the principles of democracy and rule by the mob vs the principles of a Republic or protection of the God granted rights for individuals. Democracy is generally defined as a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives. A republic is a country where power is held by the people or the representatives that they elect. To many these definitions would by synonymous, but they are really quite different. In a democracy the will of the majority is supreme or sovereign while in a republic the will of the majority cannot remove those God given rights of the minority that are defined in our First Amendment. Those five freedoms that cannot be infringed, for the many who do not know, are religion, speech, the press, right to assemble, and right to petition the government. These rights of the minority are not held to be sacred in a democracy. We are witnessing this in the United States today with the Marxist/Progressive (Democrat) support of the limitation of these sacred rights on those with whom the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) disagree. Our wise founders, who understood the differences between a democracy and a republic and wisely chose a republic, warned us of the evils inherent in democracy. John Adams said, "Democracy, will soon degenerate into an anarchy, such an anarchy that every man will do what is right in his own eyes, and no man's life or property or reputation or liberty will be secure and every one of these will soon mold itself into a system of subordination of all the moral virtues, and intellectual abilities, all the powers of wealth, beauty, wit, and science, to the wanton pleasures, the capricious will, and the execrable cruelty of one or a very few." John Jay said, "Too many... love pure democracy dearly. They seem not to consider that pure democracy, like pure rum, easily produces intoxication, and with it a thousand mad pranks and fooleries.” James Madison said, "Where a majority are united by a common sentiment, and have an opportunity, the rights of the minor party become insecure." Thomas Jefferson said, “Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'” George Washington said, “It is one of the evils of democratical governments, that the people, not always seeing and frequently misled, must often feel before they can act right; but then evil of this nature seldom fail to work their own cure." How and why our nation was formed the way it was is longer being taught in our grade schools, high schools, or universities and colleges. We now have generations of Americans who do not understand that our founders were not only students of history, but they also understood human nature. It was the explicit intent of the founders to protect the freedoms for which they paid such a high price for themselves as well as future Americans. They therefore did everything they could to protect those freedoms from both the evil inherent within a mob and the evil inherent within government. The Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) would have us believe that the mob and government have the right, in the name of protection, to grant those rights only to whom they believe deserves them and will use them to advance their Marxist principles of total conformity and social, political, and economic equality simply because of existence. Our founders were not only very wise people, they also understood that history is the best predictor of the future. As you can read, what they told us 250 years ago about democracy is coming true; both mob rule and the government are limiting those rights of the individual that are essential to a free and independent society, the type of society for which those brave and wise people were willing to sacrifice so much.
