Hypocritical - characterized by behavior that contradicts what one claims to believe or feel
Many who supported Biden for president prior to the debate are now calling for him to step aside. The list includes people in the media, politicians, fundraisers, Hollywood, and many other people. Yet, during the primaries, these same people claimed to support Biden, they claimed that Biden was cognitively and physically capable to serve another four years.
There were many reasons to believe that Biden was declining both cognitively and physically. His cognitive decline was less obvious because his cognitive abilities, his intellect, were always very low. His physical decline was easier to detect as we saw him fall and stumble.
Biden did not campaign in 2020. He used COVID as the reason and yet to anybody who objectively observed Biden over the last ten years, it was obvious that he was not longer simply intellectually challenged, but cognitive decline was evident. Yet the press and his other supporters protected him.
During the June debate, the world saw what could not be denied; cognitive decline was obvious. This was pointed out by Trump as Trump commented that he did not know what Biden had just said and he did not believe Biden knew what he had just said. Biden has trouble reading a teleprompter, and he is incapable of conversing without one.
Despite the obvious, the left stated that Biden was their best candidate. After the world saw what many of us knew, Biden was cognitively and physically incapable, the hypocrites are now calling for Biden to step aside. Their reason for now stating the obvious is not for the good of the country, but because they fear a route which includes loss of the White House as well as the House, the Senate, and many state, county, and city positions.
The left knew in 2020 that Biden was in decline. The left knew prior to the 2024 primaries that Biden had declined from 2020. The left had covered up this decline, but they could no longer protect Biden after the debate. Only when Biden was exposed to the world did the left state what they had known for at least the last ten years.
