Every Freedom Loving American who claims they wish to save our democracy is a useful idiot to the American Left, which wants to transform the United States to a democracy and then to a Marxist totalitarian state. In today’s America, we are waging the fight that people throughout the ages have waged. That fight is will individuals be free to live their own lives, make their own choices, and have their own thoughts, or will they be forced to accept the dictates of government which tells them they must conform to the “greater good” and allow the state to tell them how they must live their lives, what choices they must make, and what thoughts they can have.
Americans have been led to believe that America was established to be a democracy. Americans have been led to believe that democracy is the hallmark of freedom and liberty. Americans have been led to believe that democracy brings about the will of the people. This is a fallacy. American was not established to be a democracy. American was specifically established as a Republic. Democracy is not the hallmark of freedom and liberty, but it is the road to tyranny. Democracy does not bring about the will of the people, but it always brings tyranny. America today, despite being established as a republic, is truly being transformed to a democracy. The American individual in 1781 was the most free American ever. They were less so in 1881. They were even less so in 1991. We must ask, are Americans free in 2022. The reason for the decline in freedom is because American was more of a democracy in 2022 than in 1991, than in 1881, than in 1781. The more Americans rejected republic and accepted democracy, the less free we were and are. In a republic, it is known that rights and liberties come from God and not government. The more a country becomes a democracy, the more it is accepted that rights and liberties are under the purview of government and the role of government changes from protecting those rights and liberties to controlling those rights and liberties. Our First Amendment states that congress shall make no law infringing. Today we are told by the Executive that the First Amendment is not absolute. The Constitution says only congress can pass a bill to become law when signed by the executive. Today it is accepted, under our progressing democracy that the executive and judicial branches of government can make law, even law that controls our liberties and rights. This is because in a democracy the ultimate law of the land, or in our situation the Constitution, is not the controlling law, but it is the declared law of the majority or those in power. In a republic, the supreme law of the land, written or stated, must be followed. In a democracy, the law is whatever the majority or those in power declare it to be. In a republic the law is consistent and applied equally or what is called “rule of law”. In a democracy the law is applied “arbitrarily” depending on how those in power determine it should be applied to achieve their goals. A republic operates under “rule of law”, and a democracy operates under “arbitrary law.” Yes, we were specifically established as a republic. Democracy was knowingly and specifically rejected. Alexander Hamilton stated, “Real liberty is neither found in despotism or the extremes of democracy, but in moderate governments.” Hamilton recognized the first of three harms of a real democracy. Democracy excludes the minority’s rights. It reminds me of the classic saying, “Democracy is like two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch, but a republic is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.” Thomas Jefferson said, “The republican is the only form of government which is not eternally at open or secret war with the rights of mankind.” Jefferson recognized the secret war that occurs under a democracy, a war for power and control. The secret war is fought in many political systems. There is a reason Plato said, “Dictatorship naturally arises out of democracy.” John Adams saw the harm of democracy when he said, “Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There is never a democracy that did not commit suicide.” Adams knew that democracy is hard and often fraught with human error. Because of this, democracy often leads to a government takeover of the people, organized by the people. The logical question would have to be, “Why is the American Left insistent on transforming the United States from a republic to a democracy?” This question was answered by Vladimir Lenin when he told us that democracy was necessary to bring socialism, and socialism is the gateway to communism.
