DEBT CEILING LIMIT IS A TEST FOR THE RIGHT

The right has already compromised on this crucial issue. The question is, will they follow their past and cave. Time after time we have been told by the right that we can no longer add to our deficit. Yet, many of them are telling us that we must continue to send money we do not have to support a corrupt and tyrannical Ukraine government because they are opposing another corrupt and tyrannical government. I do not understand that logic, but such arguments have in the past covered illogical claims with the flag, just as is this one doing.
Many on the right have stated there should be no compromise on the debt ceiling limit. They have correctly said that if congress managed the budget as is their constitutional duty, we could have a surplus with the current government receipts. Madison told us the government should never become a welfare government. There you are. Problem solved.
Will this happen? Of course not. Americans have come to believe that the function of government is to provide welfare benefits for all. The primary purpose of our government was to protect the American people form both foreign and domestic enemies. The current government, led by Democrats and RINOS has inverted the purpose of government and now protects both foreign and domestic enemies while making political prisoners of those who simply believe the government should fulfill its original intent.
McConnell signed onto a letter sent to Schumer, led by Sen. Mike Lee, that calls for “structural budget reform” in debt ceiling negotiations and opposes Democrats’ proposal for a “clean” bill that only raises the debt ceiling. McConnell has made claims like this in the past, only to learn that he supported what he stated previously that he opposed, because it was necessary to avoid a “severe crisis.” Biden, Schumer, and the Democrats understand that when McConnell and the other RINOS are pushed, they will always cave.
The next question would be, would a clean increase in the debt ceiling have any negative election consequences for the left. The answer is no. This question was answered with a resounding NO in the 2020 and 2022 elections. We learned that policies no longer have any impact on our elections. Our elections in the United States today are no different from elections in Russia, Belarus, Venezuela, Brazil, and so many other countries where elections are determined by vote counters and not be voters. Both Biden in 2020 and Hobbs in 2022 proved that the Democrats know how to fix the final vote count, so they win. They have proven they will cheat openly for they understand they no longer have to even try to conceal their treachery. Their intimidation tactics against those who expose them have convinced most on the right that they must go along.
In this debt ceiling fight, we will have a substantial increase in the debt ceiling limit with a few token cuts that will have some caveat placed on them, so they never happen. McConnell and McCarthy will claim victory.
The true winner will be the Washington elite along with those who are calling for transformation of the United States into a communist tyrannical state. The losers will again be the American public.
