Compromise with evil does not correct evil is once again being learned. I remember many years ago when I was discussing compromise with the welfare state, I was told if we just give a little today those who do not want to work will be satisfied with the small increases for doing nothing. This was proven to be wrong then and continues to be wrong in so many ways.
Some examples would be Oregon approving all drugs. This was supposed to contain the growing drug problem in Oregon, primarily Portland. What has happened is that the drug problem has grown exponentially and has ruined Portland and many other cities in Oregon. California legalized shop lifting and other crimes that did not exceed a certain dollar amount. Businesses are closing in California and leaving the state in droves. Shoplifting has become rampant and is now a tool of criminals. It has grown from a petty crime into a major crime. Bail was deemed to be discriminatory against minorities and so it was determined that bail should be eliminated. Criminals are now released within hours of being arrested and committing more crimes within hours of being released. Evil does not compromise but it does take advantage of those who believe it does. The more evil is condoned the more brazen it becomes. We have seen this particularly in the inner city where crime is an accepted way of life. Compromised with evil never corrects but always enables.
