CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS PLACED ABOVE GOOD OF AMERICAN AND UKRAINIAN PEOPLE

We are receiving rationalization on the passing of more aid to Ukraine for a war that they have no chance of winning. The best thing the West could do is have Ukraine negotiate the best settlement they can. This is a war that should never have happened and would not have happened if Biden had not forced it. Putin simply told the West to honor its commitment to leave Ukraine as a buffer between Russia and the West, in other words do not bring Ukraine into NATO. Biden wanted a war and mocked Putin who was left with no other choice. Now we are funding a war that will never be won, only negotiated. Do it now and not later.
Nevertheless, those who have received the benefit from all the money that has spent on Ukraine, and those receiving benefits are not the Ukrainian people, are defending this waste of money and lives. Those who have received benefits are the defense companies, politicians who receive campaign contributions and commissions, and the deep state who is gaining more and more control over our lives.
This is some of the nonsense being used to defend this waste of money and Ukrainian lives. Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) made a concerning comment on the House floor while pressuring his colleagues to vote in support of the $60 billion Ukrainian aid package.
During his remarks on Saturday, Connolly stated that the Ukraine-Russia border is “our border,” arguing against critics of the aid package who believe the funding should go toward securing the U.S.-Mexico border— not a foreign country.
“Some say, well, we have to deal with our border first. The Ukrainian-Russian border is our border! It’s the border between depraved autocracy and freedom-loving people seeking our democratic way of life,” Connolly said. “Do we have a stake in that outcome? Yes. Undeniably yes. Will we rise to the occasion? Will we stand shoulder to shoulder with our Ukrainian brothers and sisters, who for 1,151 days have been holding off the depraved, thuggish dictator Vladimir Putin, who has respected no norms of warfare?”
Ukraine is devastated. American cities are being overwhelmed. Every state in the United States is a border state. The federal budget, state budgets, county budgets, and city budgets are all being devastated because of this twisted thinking. Those who voted for this bill simply placed their campaign contributions above the good of the United States and Ukraine. It is for reasons like this we are losing our freedoms, our debt is greater than our GNP, our economy is limping, and communism is winning the fight for democracy.
