If you listened to the Kavanaugh hearings, you must also have the same concerns I have. The future of the United States is in danger. The members of the judiciary committee have employed many strategies that would never be allowed in any court such as innuendo, hearsay, and anonymous sources. Grandstanding is understandable; after all the Senators are politicians and perhaps by definition these Senators are grand standers and self-promoters.
The one attribute that we should be able to expect, even from politicians, is fairness. This has not been the case. Fairness is no longer a part of hearings conducted by elected representatives. It is entirely possible to make your political points and at the same time be fair and be respectful. This is not possible when your mode of operation is “The ends justify the means.” We have seen fairness and respect exemplified by certain Marxist/Progressive (Democrat) members of the committee including Senator Feinstein and Senator Klobucher. Their questions were direct, fair, and framed in an understandable and coherent manner. It is difficult to criticize Senator Leahy. One can only feel sorry for him as he embarrasses not only himself and the State of Vermont, but the whole country. Leahy struggles to frame a coherent thought. He has never been accused of being close to being brilliant, but that he still holds such a powerful position in his current greatly diminished state is an embarrassment for all. What is really frightening, is that people with the character as exhibited in these hearings, actually are elected by American people to such high positions. Senators Blumenthal, Hirono, Booker, and Harris exhibited not only unacceptable behavior for a Senator, but unacceptable behavior for any individual participating in any gathering. Blumenthal and Hirono were interested in only making inflammatory statements and accusations and had absolutely no intent of asking questions to learn anything about the nominee who will be sitting on the Supreme Court. This is shameful. Senators Booker and Harris were also an embarrassment but fall into a different category because they are seeking the nomination to be President. Harris was totally unfair. She violated every accepted norm of civilized decorum. She also revealed how limited her intellectual capacity is, and how strictly she adheres to the Marxist/Progressive (Democrat) axiom of “the ends justify the means." That she has risen to the position she now holds reveals the truth of the saying that people are promoted until they reach their level of incompetence along with the fallacy that the American voter is wise. Of course, the State of California has become infamous for voting for people like Harris; people who despise the principles upon which the United States was founded. Senator Booker has revealed his inability to frame any complete thought. He has revealed that he has the capacity to frame the same incomplete thought in 99 different ways. Once he gets beyond that singular thought his ideas and his ability to frame a different thought is totally void. Senator Leahy can be excused because of his advanced age. Booker does not fall into that age category, so one can only attribute that same characteristic to Booker's lack of intellectual sufficiency. The circus we saw in these hearings, I fear, are only an indication of what is to come. What we have learned is their is an orchestrated intent to disrupt a hearing for a Supreme Court nominee when that nominee is not a part of the Marxist/Progressive movement. Judge Bork and Justice Thomas were the initial recipients of this unacceptable and uncivilized behavior. That people of the low character and low intellect exhibited by Senators Harris and Booker could even be considered to be serious candidates for the highest office of the land is indeed frightening and reveals the level of the American voter. We were warned by our founders that a republic such as they gave us can only exist when all people pay attention to the means as well as the results is critical. Our founders told us that long standing principles and morality must continue as a part of our society for our republic to continue. Harris and Booker both have shown their total disregard for our long-standing principles enumerated in the Declaration of Independence, Constitution of the United States, and the Bill of Rights. Harris and Booker showed their disregard for morality and fair play as well. Our founders also told us that those we elect to positions of responsibility those who reflect the general character of the population. We as the electorate must reflect seriously on what we have become. We are an electorate who have not been taught the principles upon which we were founded and thus have been easily manipulated by the Marxist/Progressive movement to disregard these principles. We as an electorate have also been easily persuaded that right and wrong do not exist and thus have elected people to office void of morality and decency. Unless we as the electorate insist on teaching the founding principles and insist on civilized decorum within our institutions of education, nothing will change. We can begin the above process by returning Blumenthal, Hirono, Booker, and Harris to the private sector, where it is highly questionable if they could exist.
