They started with a field of two dozen plus extremely weak candidates and are now down to two very weak old white men candidates, neither of which is an American. Yes, they have met the criteria to be a citizen of the United States. They both at times will mention the words United States Constitution, and at times they will mention restoring American values. They do not understand the principles and values upon which this nation was founded.
What we heard during the discussion or debate was that the solution to all problems is to spend more money under bigger and more enslaving government programs. They are calling this solution an American solution. If they, and every single United States citizen will honestly seek for the American Revolutionary spirit, they will learn this is not an American value. The American spirit fears government. Our founders understood that the government they had to form was in fact the biggest single threat to the freedoms they had just won. Listening to the two US citizens on the stage we understand why. Our founders divided power between the people, the states and the federal government. Within the United States Constitution, the founders listed the powers we the people would grant the federal government. This list was a limiting list as was noted in the Tenth Amendment of the Bill of Rights where we the people said that if a power was not listed it was not the federal governments. The two US citizens paid no attention to the United States Constitution as would an American. An American would not propose and support policies and programs that violated the United States Constitution by moving beyond the powers granted the federal government. For instance, no where in the enumerated powers can you find that the federal government has the power to confiscate the assets of one citizen to pay for another to go to college, or to pay for another to have health care, or to pay for another to help murder their unborn children, and on and on we can go. The US citizens on the debate stage continuously denounced dictatorships but kept referring to the Untied States as a democracy. Democracy is a form of dictatorship and Marxist dictators have used democracy to bring about a despotic government and then narrowed the ruling power in the democracy from the majority to an oligarchy or an autocracy. An American would understand what our founders understood and that is that a democracy is a form of dictatorship, but a Republic places the essentials of a free society at the core of rule, and that is rule of law and protection of all liberties for all, especially the minority. The US citizens on stage continuously referred to entitlements as rights and then called for natural rights endowed by God that are in fact inalienable rights to be reduced or eliminated. An American would understand that inalienable means the one to whom the natural right was granted by God, can neither surrender that right nor have it taken. An American would and should understand what it means to be an American. Unfortunately, in our nation today we have many US citizens. Many of our US citizens denounce everything it means to be an American. The opposite of American is socialism. We heard two US citizens sing the praise of socialism because they are anti-American. We have many US citizens who disagreed with the two on the stage, but do not understand the anti-American rhetoric was the whole program. It is imperative, if you as a US citizen want to live in a country that believes in American values, that you thoroughly understand what these values are and why the founders were so adamant about forming a nation based on those values. Never forget, that our founders understood when they formed our government, they were forming the single biggest threat to the freedoms they had just won. We witnessed their biggest fear last night; an argument for a big bureaucratic, dictatorial, dominating government that believes it is the right of government to dominate the lives and the interests of the people.
